Something is not right with home

[This is Hiccup. Slowly pacing forward, with an absent expression on his face. He looks very tried too. Toothless, his dragon, follows him from a distance, looking utterly confused at him.]

[This is Hiccup, still. Noticed the changes in his reality. The temples... the strange, glowing, whatever things that people call portals... and that huge, maybe god-made metal boat-like-thing on the ocean... and the olive trees. The. Olive trees. He only had heard about them in books. It's just too much...]

Too muuuuch... S-sometimes I-I wonder if this isn't the gods playing a trick on me, if this isn't the end of the world, this must be it, if it's my luck, it definitely is the end of the world... [He mutters to himself in disbelief still just walking forward without any goal, followed by Toothless.]

[Sighs.] Now I'm glad Toothless doesn't eat candy. Gwen said the coins were in the back of the shop, shouldn't we get more? Or is there enough already?

I haven't seen or heard of anyone acting oddly, so we're probably okay -- although getting more wouldn't be a bad idea! Just be careful -- did Duo tell you about what happened to the people who went to the shop?

Getting the things to break the spell wasn't as easy as walking into the shop -- people were shown the things that they're most frightened of! It was pretty scary.

[Hiccup is thinking about that a little.] I-I guess. But somehow it feels strange when you arrive here, no? Somehow familiar... [He can't exactly grasp it yet though.]

[Hiccup looks around as he is searching for his answer.] Liiiike, this place would be more real than back home. But that could just be me!

[Conan's never paused to think about it, so Hiccup's words strike him as curious. He repeats them carefully, storing them to memory.]

I thought this place, the Plane, is... well, like a dream world. That we're dreaming here! But... there are these experiments, why they're called experiments? Once, my whole home has changed but this place stayed the same. It's always the same.

[Hiccup frowns. His own words doesn't seem to make sense even to him.]

When you do an experiment, you make a change to something to test what happens.

Hmm... Then wouldn't it make more sense if they were changing the Plane then? If it's not the one being real...

Don't let it bother you. If it's real, there's a way to explain it. Once we work out what that is, we'll be able to put a stop to these experiments.
