[the woman standing on the Plane is currently staring at what remains of the forest, arms at her side. she doesn't quite look right, though; there's a fuzziness about her edges, a distinct greyness to her skin.

Have I been gone so long this place has given way to the test of time, or has rampant destruction become the norm?

If the person who did it wasn't themselves at the time, does it matter? There were candies here that if people ate, it altered them.

How long were you gone?

I travelled for perhaps three months in linear time at home, but here it has been significantly longer.

Do you know how long? And how do you know time passed at all? This is clearly not natural damage, so it could have happened very recently and quickly.

What makes you believe we are outside of time, rather than at a nexus point inclusive of all of them?

[he had hoped that the forest might have been restored by now, so sure that what happened to it was a result of strange happenings weeks ago, but...looks like he's mistaken. what distresses him, however, is the sight of the TARDIS. he doesn't remember looking quite like this the last time he saw her]

Doctor. [she looks over at him, head tilted a little, then goes back to examining the destruction] I have not used one of my projections in some time, it feels. I am readjusting accordingly.

[walks closer to her, putting on his glasses as he nears to have a proper look at her]

How long has it been for you?

[watches him, blinking] Approximately three months.

Busy three months if you're having difficulties with your protoplasm form... [softly] Where are you now with the other me?

I require the usual system repairs. Is it so surprising this one lags?

[he's surprised, to say the least. he hasn't seen her since... it takes him a moment to remember, but it was just before he died. and she was angry at him. oops. even so, it's such a relief to see her again! he was afraid his promise was going to be broken even though he did come back to life]

TARDIS? It's...um...been a bit of a mess. But we're all still here. [he smiles] It's good to see you.

So I see. [she doesn't look at him immediately, still surveying the area, then turns and nods to Oliver properly] Has it been that long? It did not seem so.

[he blinks] Well, I guess it probably wasn't long to you. But yeah--it's been more than a year since, ah... Since I last saw you.

[since he promised he'd see her again and then went off to die]

Has it? [something about that makes her sad and she frowns, looking away from him] Have you fared well in that time?

[oliverplus]

[considering everything that's happened, the rightful answer to that question should be no. but he can't tell her that]

Yeah, I'm okay. [he smiles, trying to look reassuring] Oh, I'm travelling with the Doctor again! One of the ones here--with the pinstripes. Our worlds merged.

Did they? Does it please you to be with us again, rather than remaining on that planet?
