[It's been while since Relena's appeared on the plane, or at least that's what its felt like to her. All things considered, it was about time the politician had a moment to herself. Or at least that was the though when she appeared in the bar with piles of paper work spread out infront of her.
Something big was happening back home.. and guess who had to deal with the political mess it was causing.
With a sigh she leaned back in her chair and rubbed her eyes before realizing just where she was. Well, this bought her a little time to finish her paperwork at least. Relena wasted no time ordering a drink, a very strong stiff drink. She needed it about now. ]

[In addition to that stiff drink, have a seven-year-old, Relena. Conan's curious enough to go tip-toe to look at the papers spread out over the table.]

[Well, she was expecting the drink, not the child. Still, it was a nice break from the words on paper.]
Actually, no, it has to do with my job at home.
[She smiled once she got the drink and took a sip as she watched him. Would he understand a bunch of documents outlining complaints from the colonies?]

Ne ... do you know Duo?
no subject
[Well that was a surprise. She set her drink down and set to organizing the papers a little.]
I take it you know him as well?

We've talked a few times! He has a hammock and naps in the forest.
What's your job?
no subject
[It really didn't and that made her smile slightly.]
I'm the Vice Foreign Minister between Earth and the Colonies. I help to keep the lines of communication open to avoid conflict and hopefully avoid military action by settling the disputes peacefully.

Ne ... Duo's all right? When he was last here, things didn't seem so good.

[He took a seat on one of the one of the stools beside her. Now that things were becoming problematic at home for the both of them, he had been assigned to watch over her.
It had been a surprise to have Relena now up in the correct time. He didn't have to worry as much. ]

All she was vaguely aware of was his recent assignment. The paperwork for that notification was buried somewhere among the piles of other reports she had to go through.]
Apparently I wish for alcohol when I'm this overloaded with paperwork.
[She picked up a small pile and moved it out of the way with a soft sigh.]
Heero, what's going on. There shouldn't be this many problems with all the hard work everyone was putting in. I've even had reports that mobile suits are being spotted. Please Heero, what's going on.

[It worried him that she wanted alcohol when things became rough. Well, it had been extraordinary circumstances of course, but still...
As for her question...]
It's my fault. [That was the worst part about this. He could have avoided all of this very easily.]
Duo's world is beginning to bleed into our own. It happens when two people become closer on the Plane.
That's why we have Libra and these new suits. Une is also the Une from his world. Ours is in his, along with Preventer agents.
no subject
[She tensed, this was his fault? Une wasn't...well, she was Une, but not the Une she had grown to be friends with. What the hell was going on!?]
You should never have gotten involved with his world's war.
[She sighed, running a hand through her hair. No, that wasn't fair of her to say. If she were in his position she would have done the same thing or at least tried to.]
Sorry, that wasn't right of me to say. I know...I would have done the same. But, now what do we do? We worked hard for our world's peace.. and now that's in danger.
no subject
No. You're right.
no subject
I know I'm right, but that won't change the past. Now how do we deal with this now. However, for future references, please consider the repercussions for fighting someone elses war! That's all I ask. It's everything I can do to keep the colonies and Earth from panic right now and I know I'm not the only politician feeling the strain.
Who know's how this will affect our world or even Duo's!
[She paused as she ordered a drink once it got there she took a sip and sighed.]
Look, Heero...There has to be some way we can fix this.
no subject
And because of his need to help Duo out, he had messed things up in their world. He was the one who ended the peace they had worked so hard for. He was the one who was going to get people killed because he assumed something about the Plane and was wrong.
It was all his fault.]
There might be a way.
[But she wasn't going to like it.]

[Duo comes along shortly after Heero leaves. Why? He found Heero at the hanger and his offer to help was promptly rejected.]
I hear you guys are having a little trouble.
no subject
Hello Duo. I wouldn't exactly describe it as a 'little trouble'.
[At that point she waves at the piles of paperwork beside her.]
no subject
I'm here to offer my help. Heero won't take it.
We've managed to get OZ to pull their forces from the colonies. I should beable to spent some time with you guys, considering it's a problem I have a hand in.
no subject
I may have said some things that may have sounded harsh to Heero and he may have taken it too personally.
[Sighs softly and begins leafing through some of the papers.]
Wonderful, I just hope this conflict can end with little bloodshed. Politically, I'm dealing with a minefield because of this.
no subject
You can't really blame us, Relena.
It's this place. It's these people who run the machine. So all we can do is roll with it. Even if it's painful.
no subject
...I know Duo. I'm just stressed out that the peace we worked so hard to established is in jeopardy because of this. However, you two also have part of the blame for this regardless of what the Machine does. However, you're right, I can't blame you two..
Heero.. may be blaming himself for this.
no subject
The way things are going that won't be a problem for me and him, but then that may even make things worse. The overlapping will happen even if he hates me.
no subject
...Either way it wouldn't have helped and there would be no way Heero would not be your friend.
