Goddamn.

[How long has it been? A week? It's been one short week. Not even. Since whatever peace he's had in years was swept away from him, only to let him be thrust into another battle. One battle which he had to surrender to protect his people. Did he have to? Maybe it was giving them unnecessary leverage, but at least it got them off the colony for now. And for now, he needed time to think. So many questions, so little time to get answers. Duo had his wrists bound in front of them when he dropped onto the Plane, his lip busted open and he was sporting a nice shiner.

Duo could not for the life of him catch a break. And that was starting to wear him down and the stress was beginning to build. He fumbled with the doors to the bar and staggered off to the side to start picking the cuffs. Once he heard that satisfying clip he threw them aside in frustration, pulling both hands to grasp his head. Noin had said he was brave, but she had no idea how foolish he felt right now.]

It's a ploy. I needed some more time. That's all. They can't keep me there and they know it. I just need something to counter their threats with.

[Or they will destroy the colony, he was almost sure of it. Even then, if it was a strategy, didn't make it any less stressful.]

[He takes time to think about all Duo said over. If the people were on their side, then there was a better chance now of ending it. Maybe Relena could do something in that world finally.]

[Looking over Duo again, he frowned]

Why didn't you wait for me? [He could have helped.]

Heh. Things were happening pretty quickly, Heero. [He brings on a sardonic tone.]

My first instinct isn't always to come back to the plane. You saw how well that worked out for me last time.

Besides that- I have a plan. I just need to get it together before going back.

How are the Preventer agents handling your verse?

They're doing just fine.

But they're not prepared for this kind of battle, not with those mobile dolls.

You might wanna check on your Preventers roster, see if someone's missing or not who they're supposed to be. [Duo stood up with a slight wobble, still a bit woozy from his drinking with Crowley.]

[Because he was going to sleep and no one was going to stop him this time. He was looking pretty haggard because of it already.]
