[Oh my Odin, Hiccup is still alive! Yes, he is, and his story is progressing too. So here he is, wearing his flying attire and sitting against a sleeping dragon, Toothless, while there are fishes and fish parts, and smaller kind of dragons around him, called the Terrible Terror. Frightening little creatures, but if not being bullied they are just small, angry little dragons. Nothing to be afraid of. All of them sleeping anyway. Hiccup's face is dirty, and his hair looks... burnt in the front, but it gives him a cool vibe, from the ridiculous kind.]

Well that was... that was interesting. [Hiccup comments, maybe for the thousandth time, but the goofy smile on his lips can be a sign that it wasn't just 'interesting' but 'SO MUCH FUN' too. They finally perfected their flying technique with Toothless, and he is doing good in training too, and he realized that dragons are NICE.]

It's good to be me, right now. A little. Maybe. If I can say that.

[Eat her? He winced.] Yeah. That's probably not a good idea-- and... Dude. Your hair. What happened anyway?

[Hiccup sighs.] Good, I really don't want to be remembered as someone who caused your friend being eaten or something like that.

Eh, what? My hair? [Looks up, and takes a few strands between his fingers.] Oh this! Well Toothless got really happy about completing the flying practice, and apparently he celebrates with fireballs. Not dangerous at all! [Snorts.]

Oh boy. [The older boy laughs a little at the kid's humorous plight but then shakes his head.]

It's a good look for ya, Hiccup. [He passes by and pats Hiccup on the shoulder.]

Hey there Toothless.

[Hiccup blinks. He half expected Duo to make fun of him. As, like, everyone around him at home.]

Thanks...

[Toothless looks up at Duo, and snort in greeting. Hello to you too! You smell a bit different, but oh well.]

But um, your hair looks slightly different from what I remember too, Duo.

[Oh, he was making fun, but not in a cruel way. If Hiccup turned the table he'd be a good sport about it. Even then, he did still think it looked pretty cool the way his hair looked so even if he was teasing, he was honest about it.]

My hair? What do you mean? It's always been this way.

Ummm... I don't think... Err, maybe I'm just going mad but... No, no no your hair was... shorter. [Hiccup blinks, tilting his head.]

I'm thinking maybe there's a hint of madness here.

I don't remember ever having long hair. Trust me Hiccup, it's always been this way, but it's not important.
[He shrugs.]

[Hiccup frowns a little, eying Duo.]

It... no, no it wasn't always this way. I-I know I'm, well, me, but I'm not... mad. Something is not right here! Though I can't tell exactly what... [Looks at Toothless a bit confused, as if he could provide an answer. But dragon is just as clueless.]

Can we drop it? It's no big deal how long or short my hair is, right? It's not like I'm a different person here.

[Even though some might argue that he was. Those who knew him best. Hiccup wasn't his best.]

Yyyeah I guess... It's just, weird. [Hiccup wonders still.]

[Touchy subject, actually. Course that's when a terrible terror sweeps up behind him, preying upon his dangling braid. It leaps. Duo catches it from the corner of his eye and side steps, snatching up his hair.] Oooh. I don't think so little guy.

Eeek! [Hiccup tries and get the Terror's attention by some fish, it wouldn't be good if it would get angry at Duo and, well, burn down that braid...] Sorry about these, they are not mine they are just, uh, around... But they are... nice!

[Thankfully, the terror heads for Hiccup and the promise of food, while Duo pulled his braid around his shoulder.]

I suppose they outta be. But they're not like Toothless. He's pretty tame isn't he?

Uh, is he? [Hiccup looks at Toothless.] I-I guess he is, yes. I don't think he is tame, though, he is just... himself.
