Resting

[Oh my Odin, Hiccup is still alive! Yes, he is, and his story is progressing too. So here he is, wearing his flying attire and sitting against a sleeping dragon, Toothless, while there are fishes and fish parts, and smaller kind of dragons around him, called the Terrible Terror. Frightening little creatures, but if not being bullied they are just small, angry little dragons. Nothing to be afraid of. All of them sleeping anyway. Hiccup's face is dirty, and his hair looks... burnt in the front, but it gives him a cool vibe, from the ridiculous kind.]

Well that was... that was interesting. [Hiccup comments, maybe for the thousandth time, but the goofy smile on his lips can be a sign that it wasn't just 'interesting' but 'SO MUCH FUN' too. They finally perfected their flying technique with Toothless, and he is doing good in training too, and he realized that dragons are NICE.]

It's good to be me, right now. A little. Maybe. If I can say that.

((ooc: The Terrible Terrors are free to use if anyone wants them~))

... dragons.

[Like this place wasn't weird enough. Conan eyes the Terribe Terrors wryly, pausing a moment to consider the bigger Toothless, before looking back to Hiccup.]

So -- they fly, breathe fire?

So more like the Western idea of dragons then -- I'm guessing these little guys don't control the weather or live in rivers ... ?

[... those names ...] They're not -- very popular where you're from?

Liquid -- you mean like lava?

I'm from Japan. Our dragons are only in legends and books, but they're always depicted a lot more snakelike and are associated more with water so -- seeing your dragons is really interesting--

[And they're moving. Belatedly shutting up.]

[identity profile] holmes-fanatic.livejournal.com 2011-09-09 10:49 am (UTC)(link)
You'd probably find Japan very different. And maybe but -- I don't think there's many places they could hide. It might just be a difference between our worlds.

[Oi oi -- that's a dragon, not a dog!] Ha, it's nice to meet you Toothless!

[Actually, there's probably an onigiri/rice-ball in Conan's backpack that the dragons could smell.]

[identity profile] holmes-fanatic.livejournal.com 2011-09-09 11:05 am (UTC)(link)
Tokyo, where I live, is all city -- buildings, people, roads, cars as far as you can see. Out of towners can find it a bit intense, so I can't even imagine what it'd be like for someone from a different world entirely.

[Nudged by dragons -- Conan can cross that off his to-do list.] Ah -- it's probably this. [Digging into the backpack, Conan retrieves the plastic-wrapped onigiri.] It's tuna-mayo -- they might be able to smell the fish.

[identity profile] holmes-fanatic.livejournal.com 2011-09-09 11:24 am (UTC)(link)
Cars -- a machine that's used to carry people and things places. They're good if you're going a long way.

Ah -- no magic spell! It's just been cooked and wrapped in rice and seaweed ... hang on.

[The plastic wrap is getting torn off, and then Conan carefully breaks the onigiri in half so that his companions can see. Well, he's definitely got the dragons attention.]

I'm guessing they're hungry?

[identity profile] holmes-fanatic.livejournal.com 2011-09-09 11:44 am (UTC)(link)
Petrol -- ah, it burns fuel -- h-hey!

[Feeding time on the Astral Plane apparently. Conan wipes his hand off on his t-shirt.]

Ah -- don't worry about it! These are really common.

[identity profile] holmes-fanatic.livejournal.com 2011-09-09 12:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Petrol's the fuel -- ah, maybe I should just bring my camera with me next time I visit the Plane.

Ah. There's -- [trying to count Terrors.] 20 of them ... ?

Hah -- Toothless didn't give me much of a choice! But I'll take the compliment -- I'm Edogawa Conan, ah -- Hiccup-san.

[identity profile] holmes-fanatic.livejournal.com 2011-09-09 12:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Then I will. [Conan pulls his backpack back on.]

Ha ... I think most people are cranky when they're hungry. One of my friends ...

It's nice to meet you! I'm going to be right back -- I'm not sure how long it will take me since I'm still getting used to this, but wait here!

[And after your choice of time has passed, here is an extremely short kid in a fresh t-shirt with two conbini bags full of what look like more onigiri.]

Hiccup-san?

[identity profile] holmes-fanatic.livejournal.com 2011-09-09 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
It's all right. Food's not a problem where I'm from. And this way, they might let you have a taste -- ah, it's all right! I just went and came back ...

[Trying to reassure the confused Terrors, Conan opens the first conbini bag, taking out an onigiri, unwrapping it and breaking it in half.] There's half an onigiri for each Terror, one for Toothless and one for you.

[identity profile] holmes-fanatic.livejournal.com 2011-09-09 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[It's a bit of a struggle, keeping pace with the curious and hungry Terrors, but eventually they all have their bit of onigiri, and Conan can hand over Hiccup's.]

Asgard -- that's where the Norse gods live, isn't it? Ah, I guess that'd make you from Europe then, so our worlds do have some overlap.

[identity profile] holmes-fanatic.livejournal.com 2011-09-11 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Viking -- ah, of course.

[Conan thoughtfully collects all the plastic wrappers into one bag as he considers his answer.] I'm not sure it's a question of place so much as time -- I think my worlds had a few more centuries in order to develop new methods of farming and that. But knowledge, at least, is easier to share than a place ... I'd have to do some research.
