[There is a bed in some corner of the Plane, and currently laying on it is Shion. He's managed to get himself into a sitting position despite being rather heavily bandaged, and is currently scowling at the tiger who has decided that being sprawled across his lower legs is the most comfortable position ever.]

You and Mu are conspiring against me, aren't you?

[The tiger starts grooming it's paw instead of answering, and Shion sighs.]

[Mu shows up a moment later in full cloth (yes, helmet and all), and with the ubiquitous red dragon helmet in both hands]

She's quite a good listener.

Too good of a listener, it seems. [He looks up at Mu, frowning slightly. It's not just that seeing someone in the Aries Cloth is still uncomfortable to him it's that he hasn't known Mu to wear the Cloth as much as he does] What are you doing?

[He holds the helmet out to Shion, wordlessly]

[Shion stares at it for a while before reaching out and taking it with shaking hands. He sets the helmet on his lap and just stares at it for a few moments] It's heavier than it looks, isn't it?

I thought the same.

[On Shion's acceptance, though, Mu steps back and drops to one knee before him.]

[Shion stares, then quickly looks away.] Please don't do that.

It's proper that I do.

[But he stands.]

[His hands tighten around the helmet as he realizes that weight of those words] Proper or not, it still does not feel right to me.

Then I will not do it unless I must.

[He sits on the edge of the bed and pets the tiger.] How are you feeling?

[Tiger liiikes that and rolls over. Shion is Not Amused.] Aside from being frustrated, I am perfectly fine. I am capable of going to asses Sanctuary by myself, I do not need to be sitting in bed all day.

It is my duty to see to your safety now, Shion. Please humour me awhile longer.

I hardly think I am in danger at this point.

Safety and wellbeing alike. Besides, I think you've earned a rest.

...After the sacrifices that the other have made, it doesn't feel right to just lay around. Besides, Sanctuary needs to see it has a leader again.

They were not sacrifices made for you to work yourself past the point of exhaustion. Shion, if you don't rest, you'll never heal correctly. Sanctuary is but babes for now; I haven't told anyone except the lambs and Teneo that you're back.

[And there he stops his little tirade, but adds, as an afterthought] Dohko is a much better patient than you are, my friend.

[No fair bringing up Dohko! But that does distract him] Dohko is recovering well?

Yes, he is. I was worried, but he seems to have made it out of the woods, so to speak.

[That does cause relief to leak into his voice] That is good. I didn't have time to judge the extent of his injuries when we arrived.

No worse than yours. He was running a low fever, but it's broke during the night.

[Mu suspects he knows why, but ehhhhhh, we're not going to mention that.]

[That is a slight worry to him, but since it's past he won't say anything] I'm glad that you're keeping an eye on him. He has a tendency to push himself.

Well now, that sounds familiar.

[At first, Saga hesitates to go to him. Their last meeting was a complete disaster and he wasn't ready to face the Aries until this moment. The Gemini takes enough courage and proceeds his way. When he notices the helmet on Shion's lap, Saga kneels before him.]

[Shion wasn't actually looking forward to seeing Saga again, and to see him kneeling like this unnerves him. No matter what rank he holds, he still isn't used to it] Would you stop that?

[He doesn't look at him in the eye. Still, he feels scolded.] Am I offending you, Your Holiness?

['Your Holiness'...that title does not make him feel anymore comfortable] No, that's not.....[Slight annoyed sound] I just do not feel comfortable with people kneeling to me. I have done nothing to earn that sort of respect yet.

[Well... despite the circumstances, both can relate in that matter. But...] [Avoiding his gaze.] I think Your Holiness has done more than he thinks. Even more than this Saint in front of him could ever do.

[And now that speech is just making him uncomfortable] I do not think that formal tone is necessary when there's no one else around. [It's weeeird to have someone talking to him like that.]

[He stands, quiet for a moment.] ... You will always be the Holy Father to me... even if you're eighteen or more than two centuries old.

... Even if you don't get used to it at first.

[Shion doesn't really know what to make of Saga of all people telling him this] ...You have much faith in me.

[Ducks his head, his bangs hiding his gaze.] ... As you always had with me. Despite... the circumstances that will lead us in the future...

[His voice is shaky.]... Forgive me... for what I've done to you here and will do afterwards. [Bitter tears falling through his cheeks.]

[It's such an awkward moment for Shion. He can hear the emotion in Saga's voice, and it does bring up sympathy in him. He doesn't like seeing someone in this sort of distress, but he remembers all to well what Saga has done. Still, his hand comes up and starts to reach out toward Saga before he hesitates and draws it back] We cannot change the past, but if you are that willing, perhaps we can find a way to stop something like that from happening again.

[At that, he wipes his tears quietly with the back of his hand and looks away. Saga believes is impossible. The only solution would be never finding him to become a candidate to the Gemini Cloth... or...] The only solution for it is my death, before that happens.

[That makes Shion frowns] Do you truly think that death is the only possible solution?

[His eyes widen and looks at Shion confused.]

[Shion sighs] You speak as if you have given up on finding any other solution besides your death.

[He looks down shyly.] ... There must be then. [Not-so-cheery.]

[Not every day you see a man being pinned by a tiger. Guy was going to walk on and leave the man to his cat, until her heard Mu's name mentioned. He drifts over instead. The bandages are noted.]

Is the tiger standard issue for keeping people in bed? Or is it a case by case prescription?

[Shion is in a rather grumpy mood at the moment] It seems to only occur when people insist they know better than you do.

[Guy is an expert at ignoring grumpy. He gives the tiger another curious look.]

Whatever the case, it's a persuasive argument.

[The tiger turns it's head to look at Guy. Shion does not seem to care]
It's not as if she will be able to keep me here forever. I will make her move at some point soon. I need to be up and checking on things. [Or so he says. Really, he has enough strength to move her and it's annoying him he's too injured to do that.]

[Hello big cat. Guy kind of blinks at her, not so used to docile predators.]

Can't hurt to take a break. [Eyeing the bandages.] Mind if I ask how you got so banged up?

[Tiger goes back to washing her paws, having decided that Guy is Uninteresting. Shion reaches up to touch his bandages, not sure how to explain this to a stranger] ...I was from a holy war I was lucky to survive. And one that I should be helping to clean up after.

Ah. [That's kind of heavy.] Would you like to talk about it, or should I just get you some tea and let you rest?

[Even Shion isn't sure which answer he wants to give] Have you ever seen a war before? [Guy looks like a fighter, but Shion isn't sure]

Yeah, unfortunately.

Then you must understand the cost and loss that comes with it.

All too well. [He invites himself to sit at the edge of the bed, eyeing the tiger again to give Shion some space.]

I don't know what you've had to live through, but forcing yourself up when you're not fit isn't going to do anyone any good. You'll just get in people's way. It's not shameful to have to recover, sometimes.

But at the moment I don't have the luxury of laying around. I am the one in charge of Sanctuary now and at the very least people need to know they still do have a leader.
