[Richter walks back onto the Plane, running a hand through his hair and looking a little less composed than the last time he walked onto the Plane. In fact, he looked like someone who's just had to sit through a few hours worth of bickering ('Spiteful Tenebrae' indeed) and he was going to kill the idiot who thought to put something like that on the floors. Considering Richter's situation back in Aselia, there was only one way the act of vandalism could have found it's way into the Ginunngagap]

[he's heading towards the kitchen, intent on getting something to drink and muttering irritably to himself]

Yes, from before Rome fell. [She realises that it's very likely he doesn't know what Rome is.] Rome is a city state on a nearby continent. It once had a great army and an empire that reached as far as the kingdoms where I come from. Before its decline, Centurions were officers of the infantry.

The awkward grin vanishes from Emil's face when he's scolded. He ducks his head and turns to start lunch-- some kind of stir fry, from the looks of it. He's becoming a pro at the stoves here, Sylvaranti or not.]

I thought apologizing for something like that was just manners.

[It's ironic for Emil to be reminding Richter of something like that. It... gives him a warm feeling, and he smiles without thinking about it.]

[It may not be the smartest idea, sneaking up on Richter that is. Aster can't help trying to take that grumpy look off his face. With a snack in hand, he figures his friend must have spotted him off in the corner with a big smile on his face already. That realization doesn't stop him from attempting to sneak up behind him, in fact, it may even have sealed his desire to do so.

He's quiet when he first walks up behind him and then speaks up once he reaches to poke Richter's shoulder.]

[Richter all but jumps, spinning around and looking like he's about to cast a spell-]
