007 [Everything Changes]
I am so tired.
[Leela was resting on the star studded ground as she spoke, frowning slightly as she turned her knife - familiar and comforting and a remnant of a life she'd lost a long time ago - over in her hands.]
I am tired of this planet, where the very world moves around us and our thoughts cannot be fixed in one place. I am tired of being told that there is nothing we can do but wait. I may be blind, but even I can see that we must return to Gallifrey! We have friends there that need our help.
[Her fairy tale was over, but it seemed as if her own world had changed a great deal in the time she had been gone. Gallifrey was not on the edge of falling, it had - between the civil war and the Dogma virus and Arkadian's unstable temporal weapons - fallen. Only Leela and her four closest allies - her three closest allies and Narvin, anyway - had escaped. Braxiatel had saved them, transporting them to a planetoid that was unlike any Leela had visited in the past. The place left her feeling uneasy as well as tired.]
Romana believes this planet to be out ... out of 'sync' with the rest of the universe. I am not wise enough to understand such things. I spend my days, if there are days in this place, guarding the biodata archive from foes that are many miles away. I would serve her - and Gallifrey - better with a weapon in my hand!
OOC: At long last, a canon update! Leela is now at the beginning of Gallifrey: Reborn, shortly before visiting her first parallel Gallifrey.

Narvin? No, there has not been time. And I have not seen him here, only on this ... this axis.

I think I know how you feel.

[She turned in the direction of her unseen friend.]
What has happened?

I will make my home wherever my friends are.

Leela? Something happened? ...They won't let you fight? [Somehow Hiccup could tell how that feeling was.]

[She growled the last word, an idea that was anathema to her.]

I am glad of your company, Hiccup. You do not have to leave unless you wish to.

Yes. They are a proud and stubborn, but I have friends among them.
He is a medicine man, your grandfather?

A wise man, then. Like my friend the Doctor.
