[Misaki appears on the plane in casual clothes. With an entire batting-cage setup in tow. Complete with nets, pitching machines, buckets of balls, and racks on racks of beat up bats. She goes around for a few minutes making sure everything still works, even without anything to plug it into. Which it does. Of course. Then she switches one of the pitching machines on high and starts cracking balls into the net, one after the other, with Totally Unnecessary Ferocity.]



[[Right after this, so naturally she is in a VERY VERY bad mood. Hence the stealing of her favorite batting cages.]

[She yanks another bucket full of balls from the rack and starts dumping them into the machine.] If they miss it then I'll know I'm not crazy.

[Turns the bucket over and sits on it.] Not necessarily. I'm barely used to my own world, and now I have this one to deal with.

It's your world though...[Stops when he realizes that he shouldn't really be talking] This place isn't really that hard to deal with. It can be really nice here at times.

Sometimes this place is dangerous, but I'm used to things like that. And the rest of the time it's really peaceful here.

[Looks between her feet at the stars.] I wonder if you could see them move if you watched long enough.

The stars here don't seem to the same rules as they do back home. Even the constellations are mixed up and in different places.

It's not such a bad thing if it's real. You would never get to see the stars this close back home.

[Nod] Where I'm from, the stars are fake. The real ones disappeared a while ago. We don't know why.

[Small smile] Neither do we. They disappeared when places that we call "the Gates" showed up. We've been trying to figure things out since. Most people don't think the stars are gone--just hidden.

I remember Li mentioning something about a Gates. They sound bad. Even if the stars are just hidden it would be really hard to hide them from the whole world...

Yes. [Frowny face.] The Doctor suggested some sort of illusion projected by the Gates.

I'm from Tokyo, Japan. My world is pretty normal really...aside from the gods showing up.
