[She has many matters to attend to, many pressing matters and none of them look like they're about to be polite. Loss is still missing, Death is starting to grumble again, she can almost feel that something dangerous and dark is coming...]
[And yet, despite this, she has been dragged to a strange, icy world and forced to look even paler than usual while feeling the odd compulsion to go and kiss brats for no apparent reason.]
[Life is not fair.]
[Flatly, as she appears with a blast of cold wind:]
This is new.

[...Dammit.]
Apparently I have a new palace now.

Because I live in a ice palace now.

Does it have a name? ...I might have heard of it, even if you haven't.

[...Drat, the universe really has got it in for her today.]
...Let me guess, it has many gothic trees?

/GIGGLING FOREVER
[...Okaaaaaaaaaay then] Perhaps. Are the trees rather unhealthy looking?

...Apparently I am not just a queen now. Apparently I am also a ice queen.

I'm a prince! [he almost sounds proud of that] And I guess I'm looking for a princess to marry. [definitely not so happy about that part]
no subject
And don't look at me, I'm a queen.
[She still studies him for a moment longer, though, her eyes narrowing. There's a faint urge, a very faint urge, to reach out and tempt him into her icy lair... But, no, that's ridiculous and she's not going to be tempted into her icy lair herself, thank you very much.] A prince of where?
no subject
[frowns back at her, a little insulted] Why does that mean I shouldn't look at you? I'm a prince! [but he seems surprised at himself for that protest. he takes a deep breath, firmly resisting the urge to slip any further into character]
[that's okay, Juni; Oliver is only able to remember his own life now and then at the moment, so she wouldn't be making him forget much. one thing he doesn't remember, however, is where he lives--or, where his fairy tale self lives] Uh...somewhere Eastern? [he frowns. how weird is it that he doesn't know? then again, some fairy tales just don't get into that sort of detail] But I'm in Lagobel right now. ...I think. I'm a bit lost. [looks rather sheepish] I'm out looking for princesses, like I said.

And I am a queen, higher in rank last time I checked [A pause, and then she smiles in a almost seductive manner. One that cries "come into my clutches, I swear I won't kill you much, and I'll only trap you for eternity a little..."] Unless-
[...What the hell, moving on again with a general glare at the universe] One: Where the hell is Lagobel? Two: Why do you need a princess so badly? Will you fall into a giant, weak swooning sickness unless you find one right this minute?
[That was very weird, she may be snapping a little as a result. Sorry, Oliver, she's not used to this whole "trapping boys in her icy kingdom" thing.]
no subject
Well, yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't even look your way! [seeing how she looks at him then, though, he takes a step back. okay, that's creepy. thankfully, her expression quickly passes, and he relaxes]
[he shrugs at the first question, wondering again why his knowledge of his own life situation seems so spotty. then he reminds himself that it's just a story] In the west. It's got lots of forests.
[unfortunately, by the time he hears the second question, his grasp of reality is slipping] I'm a prince! A prince has to find a princess to marry. It's how things work. And I haven't been able to find a single good one yet, so I'm going to travel everywhere until I do.
no subject
No, it really does.
...Excellent, forests. Large, rambling forests that may contain many wolves? Excellent [Her lips purse for a second, extremely displeased by this state] I love wolves.
[And suddenly her face lights up seductively again. It's really rather nice, if he'd just come a bit closer he could see how wonderfully nice she was and how tempting her lips look and everything...] You could travel into my kingdom, I have a wonderfully large palace and I'm sure that-
[Snap out of it, Juni!] Damn!
no subject
[he looks a bit disturbed by that idea] I hope not. [he is, after all, living in a cave in that forest for the moment]
[lost in the fairy tale as he is, he's caught by her this time. he takes several steps forward without even meaning to when--]
[at Juni's curse, Oliver blinks, shaking his head as if to clear it] What... [he licks suddenly dry lips, eyeing Juni warily, though he can't quite bring himself to move away again] ...what's going on?

[Gin's wolfish ears pricked upwards in a mixture of surprise and interest when the icy gust quite nearly knocked his fedora off of his head; he held it steady with a clawed hand, smirking.
His ears slicked back and his tail flicked from underneath his long coat as he stepped closer.]
Remember a time when everything was?
I don't.

[And a tail, wonderful. Her eyes narrow but she doesn't move: just remains there, looking rather cold and haughty] Perhaps if you told me what that meant I would.

I'd like to see you try. [What a naive thing to say; still, Gin thinks this could be very amusing.]

[She sighs, almost boredly, raises her hands and snaps her fingers and... Yes, that is a hovering ball of lightning. She almost went for fire but she thought better of it at the very last moment (ice queens and fire do not mix, it's a sad truth.)]
