[Obviously this is Jade's fault. ...Maybe not fault; this is nicer than his cell, if not utterly confusing.]

[This is really confusing. The identical floor and surrounding environment is disorienting, but there are buildings, and... a chair? It's attractive, but not so much that he doesn't kick it over in his confusion before moving on to the buildings. This can't be natural... though, considering the way inside was through a mysterious door in his cell wall, what chance was there of it being otherwise?

Maybe alerting Jade is a bad idea. He can't lock him back up if he doesn't know where he is. So, exploring. Quietly.

As quietly as a Dist can manage.]

[Classic. Dist squares up his shoulders, takes a few determined, purposeful strides up to Jade, and does his damnedest to appear to be a threat.

This is far easier said than done.]

[Given that Jade's hands are in their comfortable resting place, his pockets, attempts to be threatening have apparently not done solid work.

What Jade is actually thinking is, I hope Asch finds Dist annoying enough not to ask him about the future.]

[Dist smacks Jade in the chest, all but stomping his feet in frustration. Couldn't the man be helpful for once in his wretched life?]

[Jade has the good sense to step just out of reach.] In that case, I suppose I should leave you alone here.

[And if fate loves him, maybe Dist will give him the excuse. Other people can explain this, after all.]

[He could just leave. And he really, really wants to. But what if Dist dies, is resurrected, and has idiotic ideas about raising the dead?]

[Perhaps he should call for Guy and have him explain? No, Guy is going to have it rough with the Plane. Adding Dist to it would just be cruel.]

[So Jade just sounds bored instead.]

It's an inter-dimensional nexus. Test subjects are brought in from different worlds and histories. The wrong move could destroy our entire universe.

And they brought you here? You're hardly the safest person to have around something that dangerous; if anyone ends up dooming all of us, it'll be you.

Anyway, Dist doesn't trust him whatever he does. It can't really hurt.]

I'm so happy you're finally acknowledging it. But the doctors advised me not to push you too hard by giving an exact figure. They say admitting the delusion is the most difficult step.

So that's really the story that you're telling me?! That we're all subjects in some grand cosmic experiment - that you had nothing to do with - that can somehow bring in people from different times? You're committing to this. Really.
