[Mu is near the kitchen, possibly only a little bit grumpy - he's waiting, and waiting is trying what little is left of his patience. These new abilities of his are somewhat trying and he'd really REALLY like his Cosmo back. Being with out it is like being without his hands, he feels - limited and lame, an invalid, of a sort.

Coupled with that is the loss of Shaka's rosary, which is an unwanted distraction, but he can't simply change how he feels about that. However, if the notes were right, then, perhaps, this would be one distraction Mu could put behind him.

But in the meantime, he has to wait.]

[He remembers Mu from before, and notes that he's looking very irritated at the moment. Data's curious, but reluctant to bother him. Eventually curiosity wins out.]

Apparently, he is taking a break in the middle of a very tiring conversation. But hey, there's the guy who got his artes. He is very cross that his phenomenal cosmic powers don't give him the ability to yank those artes right back.]

You should try the bar. [He summons curry for himself instead of a drink. He is trying to stay sober.]

Oh, no, those are the refuges of the young. [Also, he is on duty. He is restoring HP with his curry.] At my age, you find something else.

[A small army of curry bowls appear beside him. Also, cats. Cats which don't like curry. He sighs at them and makes them disappear.] There really is no good animal sidekick.

Mieu is capable. And I've always wanted to learn about the Sacred Beast of the Order of Lorelei. [There were no Cheagles around Mt Roneal to dissect. Alas for a deprived childhood.]

You seem more than capable of summoning one at your whims.

Not at all. Mieu has quite the hidden jealous streak.

[He does not say, Unfortunately, the potential ethical problems of summoning an animal purely to dissect it are, while negligible to me, significant enough to the world generally and to six or seven people important to me specifically that the idea, though tempting, must be turned down.

But that is what it is. He wouldn't mind himself, but he suspects that it may be an incorrect course of action to take. It isn't easy being a sociopath who has to follow moral guidelines.]
