[Oliver arrives on the Plane in the middle of the night, floating slightly in the air. it seems he didn't want to bring whatever he was sitting on with him--possibly for good reason. there is, for an instant, the vestige of a golden glint in his eyes. perhaps it's the reflection of the sudden fire in his room that caused him to flee here, or perhaps it's something else entirely]

[still in a sitting position, Oliver sustains a short, but jarring, drop to the starry ground. his eyes are wide, his expression a mixture of startled, confused, and frightened. he's dressed in only plaid boxer shorts, for the first time revealing openly to the Plane the scars on his chest and back. and, from head to toe, he is completely and utterly drenched with water. it's running all over the floor of the Plane]

What...what just... [Oliver blinks around him in bleary-eyed confusion, too stunned to even wipe wet strands of hair out of his face]

[Oh goddess, another boy in only his boxers, why. djklafj But Oliver is a friend, so she's not going to just turn away. That doesn't mean her cheeks aren't as red as a tomato.

She does rush over to him, slowing once she gets close enough.]

Oliver!! Are you alright?

Marta! [Oliver stares back at her, still wide-eyed] I...yeah. I'm fine...

[if you consider an expression like that of a frightened animal "fine," at any rate]

[She doesn't. And she kneels down beside him, looking him over, trying to figure out why he's soaked and... uh... not wearing pants djfklajdskl NOT THINKING ABOUT THAT PART.]

Oliver... you're shaking! And you're totally soaked! What happened?

[Oliver looks down at himself as though he's surprised to find he's drenched. he pushes wet hair out of his face in a rather confused manner] Um...something caught on fire. I don't know...

[not a minute later, the Doctor appears and sprints towards Oliver--which isn't exactly needed since he was very close to Oliver's location back on the TARDIS anyway--and blasts Oliver in cold, blue flame-retardant foam. he stops a few seconds later, of course, and lets the little canister hang at his side]

Oh, so the sprinkler system is back on-line. Brilliant! Glad to know that's fixed at last.

[oliverplus]

[Oliver turns to the Doctor and just stares. he spits foam and water for a few seconds, then tries to wipe the stuff out of his face] Bloody hell, what was that for!?

[gives him a look that's both confused and insulted at the same time] What do you mean, "What was that for?" I got an alarm there was a fire in your room and was coming to put you out! And that's what I did!

[a pause] Well, I helped, anyway.

[hypospraying]

Oliver! [She disappears and reappears less than ten seconds later, carrying an emergency medkit.]

What's wrong? What happened? [She kneels beside him, ignoring the water, and starts to scan him.]

[oliverplus]

[Oliver just blinks at her] Christine?

I'm...I'm fine! I don't know...something caught on fire... [he watches her scan him with the eyes of someone who has given up expecting to make sense out of anything that's going on right now]

[hypospraying]

Explains the water. Somebody douse you? [She puts the scanner away.] Your heart rate's elevated, obviously, but it's not picking up anything else.

[onehundredbeers]

[Nathan glances at Oliver. Then down at the floor. And in a no-nonsense, almost fatherly tone, he says...]

So, uh. You gonna clean that up?

[This is totally the proper response.]

[oliverplus]

Huh? [Oliver blinks at him] Uh...yeah? [looks around him as though he's surprised to find himself sitting in a growing pool of water]

Okay. [Nathan crosses his arms.] Good. Someone could slip and like, break their neck. But, uh. Why are you wet, anyway?

[Just ignore Matti. Really, that would just make it worse. Her entire face is red up to her ears from spotting Oliver and she looks pretty close to feinting. She's also muttering 'maple' under her breath (which may be the hardest thing anyone's ever tried to hear.)]

[Oliver turns at the muttering, though he doesn't understand what she's saying. seeing that she looks ready to fall over snaps him to reality rather quick] Whoa! Uh...you okay?

[For the sake of not scaring people, she tries her best to stay conscious. She holds her notebook over her face quietly.] E-er... y-you.... y-your clothes.... u-um... t-they...

[Mu was pacing around the Plane wondering what the hell is happening to him, but the wet squish of wet fabric hitting the ground calls his attention]

Oliver? Are you alright?

[oliverplus]

Mu! [turns to him, his eyes still wide like a confused and frightened animal] I...yeah, I'm fine...

[Mu drops, and returns almost immediately with a towel, which he hands to Oliver]

You don't look it. Tell me what happened.

[Because dealing with him is easier than dealing with his own issues at the moment.]

[She moves to the voice.] Oliver--oh! [She isn't sure if she's more surprised by the lack of clothing or what it reveals.] Did you fall?

I...um... [he turns to her, bleary-eyed and confused] There was a fire... I'm okay. [it sounds like he's trying to convince himself as much as her]

WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE

[Although Leela responded to Oliver's confused exclamation immediately, she did not comment on his scars or on his lack of clothing. She is as blind as she was when she first arrived on the Plane.]

Oliver? Oliver, what has happened?

[At least her ears as sharp as ever. She has no difficulty finding the source of his voice, ignoring the water between her bare toes.]

Leela? [Oliver turns, looking up at her. he notices that there's something...off...about the way she's looking at him, but he's still too much in shock to comment] There...there was a fire. I'm okay. [though he doesn't sound like he's quite sure]
