[So. Here's Mu. He materializes rather suddenly near his hammock and all but collapses on to one of the rocks that support it. There is one hand covering his mouth and he's pale. His expression is a mix of shock and sadness. There are tears in his eyes.

He stays like that a moment before taking a deep breath and sliding to the ground.]

Mu! What's the matter!?

The Saint of Scorpio has fallen....

[ Yuyuko hurries over to kneel behind him, turning solid and offering some support ]

Mu..?

Milo...fell.

Mu?

[Says nothing to Hei but covers more of his face]

[Goes to him and crouches down, gripping one of Mu's shoulders gently.]

Mu, what happened?

[Again, doesn't respond verbally, but pushes along a feeling of emptiness, like a part of the mind/heart/soul is gone]

[ Frowns and closes her eyes. ]

I am sorry.

[Feels it, and goes somewhat cold, and not in a Contractor way. Long, long silence as he remembers Antimilos.]

[Then, barely audible,] Milo?

[Just as quietly]
Yes.

Don't be - if what I felt was true, then he went as he wished to.

Milo? Wha..how did...

I think you know the answer.

[Loss, loss, loss, Hei is so damn sick of loss and the damn hollowness it leaves.]

I'm sorry. Mu, I'm so sorry.

I am still sorry. For you. Death... hurts mortals. It is not so easy to embrace, the loss of a friend, is it?

I d..[His eyes go wide as he realizes what Mu has to be talking about] Goddess,...Hades, the Holy War. [Tears start to fill his own eyes] Not again...I should have...[He had been trying to forget about the Holy War, trying not to remember that Milo and Mu would both die, and once again he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. It hurt, more now than before, because this time he had actually known Milo a little.]

I should not grieve, but...

Yes. You should. [Hei checks himself, because it came out sharper than he wanted it to.]

I just mean...it's alright to grieve. It's human.

[touches Shun's cosmo with his own, and that's the closest you're getting to a hug from this guy]

He must have told you - Death is something every Saint is prepared for. I....It was a shock...to suddenly feel him gone.

[a twisted little smile] Then I may not grieve, for I am not human.

Saints are eternally prepared to lay down our lives...

But his passing was a shock.

[Since this is really the first time Mu has done something like that Shun looks but...and realizes that as bad as he feels, Mu had known Milo a lot longer than he did. Shun poofs off the Astral Plane, then comes back with two cups of tea. He sits down, then places one near Mu.] Here.
[The cups are delicate china things, and the tea is something the cook was making for Saori. Shun didn't want to take the time to actually brew tea himself.]

[ Yuyuko just nods, not sure what else to say. ]

Prepared for it, but--[Cuts himself off, gritting his teeth. Saints, right. He can't pretend to understand.]

You have emotions. You feel. And you care about him. That's enough. [It all comes out in a rush. So many stupid, confusing emotions. Hei shuts up.]

[Mu nods in thanks, and just, holds the cup as though he were trying to leech it's warmth.]

I should not grieve this way...

But nothing. I simply....I didn't expect to feel him die. I suppose I should have - I tracked his cosmo to Antimilos, after all...

My having emotions does not change the fact that his death was, as mine is, an inevitability. Besides, Should he see me now, I'm sure he'd disapprove.

[Hei doesn't respond. He just sort of sits there, staring at the stars beneath the "floor", the fight gone out of him. He wills the walls to come up around him again and he closes off.]

Why? There is nothing wrong with grieving for people that were important to you.

[Again, touches his cosmo briefly to Hei's mind. This is the closest you're getting to a hug]

Because he fell in the line of duty. I'm quite sure he'd disapprove of how I'm handling his passing.

[Feels it, but he doesn't relax or speak. He sends back a sense of gratitude, though. And another "I'm sorry", though it has multiple meanings this time.]

That doesn't mean you aren't allowed to be sad. I think everyone has to cry at least a little when something like this happens to get over the pain.

I feel as though I am doing him a disservice.

Milo died for Athena, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be sad or not grieve or the fact that he's gone. If we honor his sacrifice and continue on after it...I don't see how missing him would make what he had done mean any less.

I will mourn his passing as I would mourn that of any saint's, but I will not grieve.

[Shun just sips his tea and doesn't say anything. Mu's reminding him of how Hyoga was after Camus's death. There wasn't much he could say then either.]
