[Kay steps out onto the plane finally, having been a bit preoccupied with trying to catch that damn bounty hunter when- well what the hell is this?
His section of the plane? is starting to sprout houses. Nice little neat cookie cutter houses in nice neat organized blocks. Each driveway equipped with some nice, heavy duty car or another (a ''69 Mustang here, a Charger there, a Challenger, a Desoto, and even a more modern Mercedes). The people out working on their lawns and kids playing on the sidewalk all seem very involved in each other and not noticing anyone else. At all.
And he doesn't even realize quite yet that it's him who made this.
And he's standing on the sidewalk saying with his hands in his pockets, watching in vague confusion as this tiny environment sprouts up around him.]
I probably oughta keep current on the news. [He grimaces and rubs the back of his head.]
[(*OOC So this is Kay's creepy Stepford community. The people won't notice you. If you get close to them, you'll notice they all have something really odd about them, like a third eye in the middle of their forhead or scales down the back of their neck. If you touch them, they'll fall over and disintigrate like a pushed-over sandcastle.)]

[Damn his pesky subconscious taking more interest in godlike powers than him.]

Wide eyed, she pulled back.]
What is this place? Who are you?
[None of the other creatures answered her.]

He goes over to Leela.] I'm not sure they can see us. [Which was mostly because he didn't want them to notice them.] What's been happening to the Plane? Do you know?

... the machine that controls the Plane is broken.
no subject
When did it break, you know? [He pulled out his blaster, just to be holding it. And it wasn't as if any of these people could see him anyway.]

He leans faaar out of their way even if they don't seem to "notice" them. Only they do. Just enough to move the stroller around them but not enough to acknowledge them as more than simple inanimate obstacles in their path.]
I was telling Zed earlier that I'd really like the day when aliens could fit right in and make happy families on Earth without worrying about being persecuted. [Vague question entering his mind over whether this is something that he wants. But he wouldn't want them falling apart when they were touched! ...Right?]

[Leela peered curiously at the egg before taking a step back to avoid them.]
It is a good dream. [The eerie lifelessness of this city was not to Leela's taste, but the ideas of acceptance and peace all rang true. It was something she wished for Gallifrey as well.] And it cannot have come from nowhere.

He puts his hand over his mouth briefly. Just a slight underreaction to the realization of godlike ability. Because he doesn't know what to do with it.] This was the sort of place I used to want to live in. [He turns to look at the edge of his imagined neighborhood where strange alien trees start sprouting up out of the ground in the distance. Some of them like venus flytraps, some of them just long and curling and twisting like a thick, leaveless vines. Some of them in strange colors.]
[His brows climb up.] ...I don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do with this.

What do you want to do?

And then he decided that he didn't want to get rid of it and it reappeared, because he wanted some sort of activity around him.] I'm not sure. [He looks at a spot. Looks at it. Looks at it.]
I can't make someone I know, it seems like. [He pursed his lips, maybe only a touch disappointed that he couldn't summon Laurana out of thin air.] I don't want that much, I guess. [Well, except apparently the peaceful little scenario he had set up around them.]
