[many thoughts cross the Doctor's mind as he crosses a particularly starry patch of the Plane; thoughts like, "Wasn't there blood all around here a moment ago?", "Well, since there isn't any blood, I don't have to worry about ruining another pair of trainers!", and "Blimey, I wonder how many I've got left. Probably should look into procuring some more."]
[and the moment he thinks that, a whole pile of Converse all-star trainers appear in front of him, making him stop dead in his tracks with wide-eyed shock] What?! [he immediately squats down to poke one of them and finds that yes, they do exist, even if they do come in only three colours for some reason.] Where did these come from? And more to the point, how did they turn up here the moment I thought about them? Although... [he picks one up, turning it over in his hands. thoughtfully:] I wonder where I'm going to put them all now.
[a large cardboard box appears just then in the pile's place with every last trainer inside except for the one he's holding. rather absently, he throws it in with the rest while he stares at the box, feeling...rather unsure about all of this]
Two times doesn't mean anything. It's just a coincidence that it--oh, who am I kidding? [he runs a hand through his hair as he begins to pace, his mind racing] I don't even believe in coincidences! This can hardly be called a trend, and it's not even enough for a proper scientific sample! [a short pause as an idea comes to him, his tone becoming a bit curious] And anyway, it's not like a tutu-wearing ostrich can roller-skate around the Plane while passing out bananas to everyone and playing Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" on a trombone at the same time!
[and lo, that very ostrich appears as soon as he's done speaking and hands him a banana before skating off to treat everyone with a bit of potassium and Gaga. he stares, positively dumbfounded and feeling rather mixed about this. softly:] I've never been able to--[he pales] I shouldn't be able to do this. No Time Lord should ever have a power like this. But if I can do that, then...
[he spins around, looking at an empty area of the Plane. with a thought, a place so etched into his memory appears on the Plane. when it does, he stumbles back, afraid to touch it] It can't... [but he steels himself and steps onto the red grass, a heavy weight in his chest as he surveys what he has created]
It really is here...
[he closes his eyes, feeling a gentle breeze on his face. he listens as the red grasses sway and the thousands of silver leaves rustle on numerous cadenwood trees lining the base of a tall snow-capped mountain. and soon, the sky above the field and mountain turn a burnt orange as two suns appear, making the mountain shine and the silver leaves look as though they are on fire]
[when he opens his eyes again, his expression becomes very unreadable. softly, he utters] If I can do this, what can't I do?
[ooc: Now Ten is a god! And he has created a small part of Gallifrey, more specifically, a slightly hilly grassy plain that was one of his favourite spots to escape to as he he was growing up (amongst other places, that is). Oh yes, and that ostrich will be passing out bananas to anyone who wants one--and it takes music requests~]

... Staring finished, he turns his attention to the Doctor, a bit concerned.]
Doctor. Is everything okay?
no subject
[because yes, how else would that explain his sudden power over, well, all that?]

[The perfect Gallifreyan steps onto Gallifreyan soil. Oh, he knows this place. How couldn't he? This was his home, too. He looks at the Doctor calmly.]
You have a lot of power right now. It may not last.
no subject
But what if it does, Brax? I mean, everything about this just screams "experiment" to me--but what if it is isn't? [he tries very hard to keep the urgent, frightened tone out of his voice]

Leave it to you, Doctor. You find yourself in possession of immeasurable power and you use it to-
[Anything he might have been saying to mock the other Time Lord is lost as he stops; silent. He only stares, completely lost for words for once in a very long time. He knows this place, he remembers what it used to be to him when he was someone else completely. He isn't prone to getting lost in the memories of a long dead child but it is rather hard not to be pulled in when it is right in front of your face.]

You're right. I do have immeasurable power. Don't know for how long, though...

Yup, you can say that. It's very, very new, in fact. It's...well. [starts rubbing the back of his neck] This is a memory.

So the pale gold android in Victorian dress is being met with a banana wielding ostrich.]
Thank you. [He sounds inquisitive as he takes it, and sort of idly holds it as the ostrich spoots off. He stands there, in confusion. staring out after it.
Then he looks around to see a lovely section of planet he's never seen before.]

Hello! You know, there are several questions swimming through my mind, but I've got to ask: where are you from? It's not everyday I see a gentleman like yourself in an outfit like this. Well, there are a few planets I can think of where it could happen, but I haven't been to them in ages.

[While running in pure fear from the ostrich, Matti ends up running into this newly created area, tripping on a rock and nearly crashing into the Doctor. Yeah, forget the ostrich, now she's in pain and she's just gonna lie here with her amazing ability to get bruises in ways no other person possibly could.]
M-maple....

No, I'm the Doctor, actually. Are you all right?

He's still stomping around in his armor, and he glares firmly at Ten. They may get along normally but he put that blood there for a reason.]
Did you fucking clean this place up?
[He crosses his arms.
Clank.]
no subject
What?! No! I didn't do that. I mean, I didn't think about making the blood disappear, anyway.

Lady... Gaga? [What was that again?]
Aww thanks! And I'm so sorry this is late...

And then he's left alone-- but not really-- standing in the midst of red grass and otherworldly silver trees. Maybe in another life this could have been his home.
Nothing feels safe to him anymore.]
... What the hell did you just do?

Incredible! How did you manage to do this?
[The ostrich appears beside him and Aster takes the banana it offers.]
Thank you.

She crossed towards the Doctor with an expression of confused concern on her face, waving away the ostrich when it approached.]
Go away! I am not here to talk to you ...
no subject
Well, I was here first, so technically it should be the other way around, shouldn't it?

But then I see this place again... [he lets those thoughts trail off] You know, I can give you a proper tour if you'd like.
