[Wolfwood appears and he's actually got an honest-to-God smile on his face and looks a lot relaxer than he's been in a long time. He takes a seat on the 'ground' lights up, and leans back, just looking at the stars and humming.

Sounds like a nice place. How long have you been there?

It is. Th' people really care for one 'nother. Mebbe four, five months now. I haven't kept track o' 'em.

Sounds like my hometown. Tokyo is much more impersonal.

I really don' go to th' big cities often. Too crowded.

[Chuckles.] That's true. I've gotten used to Tokyo, though. I even kind of like it there now.

I can' imagine a place as big as that. I guess I'm just a small town preacher.

At first I hated the idea of living in such a big city. But I don't know. [Shakes his head, looking upward.] It's grown on me, I think.

I've tried it a couple o' times but I never got used t' it. Jus' too many people for my likin'.

[Smiles.] To each his or her own. Besides, the people in your town need you. You're their priest, right?

Yeah, I guess I am. Now.

Ah, right, you said you were a traveling priest before. It's a shame. There seem to be a lot of travelers here who now seem to be boxed into a much smaller reality than they're used to. [Pause.] You don't regret it, do you?

Regret it? [thinks that over as he gets out a new smoke] I never had a reason before t' stay in one place for long. But now, I've got friends in town.

[Beaming,] That's good, then. If you're going to be somewhere, you should have a good reason.

Yeah, that's true. [smiales as well, settling back to star watching]

[Falls silent as well, eyes on the stars.]
