I need to find out what's going on with Rena and I. Something's not right, and I think the people who brought us here will know what to do about it.

But you're okay at least, that's good. I saw Rena a few days ago--she said you hadn't been in school. What's going on?

I have no idea! That's what we're trying to find out. I have been at school, so... So something weird is going on. Everyone thinks I've transferred away, but I haven't! [Siiigh.]

[Frowning,] So the two of you are there, but you can't see each other? [Pauses, thinking.] You two might really be in different realities.

What? That... that's silly. Why would we be?

Well, it seems like no two people here are from the same reality. I don't know the mechanics of it...but both of you are safe, and that's what's important.

[Mion looks thoughtful.] So this "different realities" thing... it doesn't really go into effect until more than one person from the same place shows up here?

[Raises his eyebrows.] That might actually be the case...interesting. Then I wonder what it would be like if someone else from my reality--or rather, a version of my reality--showed up. Would I then stop being able to see them in my own reality? [Pauses.] Everything here, it's really complicated, isn't it?

It is! [Nods.] I mean, I can still see Rena-chan here, so... I'm not really sure about everything. But everyone with Rena, they think I've disappeared too. [Frowns.]

Is it the same thing in your world? Everyone thinks Rena has disappeared?

Not exactly. Or at least it doesn't seem to be as big of an issue... I've told them that she had to return to Ibaraki to visit her mom, while we try to figure something out.

[Folds his arms, lost in thought for a bit.] The...best solution might be to try and find a way to merge your realities.

Merge them? How does that work?

[Frowning,] I don't know. You'd have to ask the Twins, or perhaps Sam or Mr. Hunt. They're from the same world, but their realities were separate at first. Somehow they managed to merge them.
