What kind of magic...

[It's hard to go about daily life in entirely the wrong language. No wait, make that the wrong languages, because when she speaks again as she walks to the woods (it's familiar, okay?) it's in Latin.] At least these are real words.

It's a relief to find someone who can understand me. I know Arthur is speaking in Greek, but I can't catch a word of it.

Uuuh- I don't know who that Arthur is but pretty impressive you can understand Greek. Well could understand I guess, um- What kind of magic could do this? I-I don't think this is mortal doing actually- I mean if everyone decided to speak in a way we can't understand then I might be suspicious of a prank, but well- I've never heard of the language I'm speaking right now sooo it gives me a sliiiiight feeling that... well this is not just a prank. [Nervous laugh.]

If they've power enough to join worlds together, then it's little surprise they have power enough to control the words we know and speak.

[Pause.] That's not a bad way of thinking. But why would they do this...?

For their amusement? Or just to prove they can. [Tyrants: Morgana has issues with them.]

They shouldn't be cranky just because they... never get their feast properly. [Gods: Hiccup believes in them.] Aaanyway, I don't think we've met before Lady, I'm Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, it's- aaaa pleasure to meet you! [He learned this phrase not long ago, and he was itching to use it, even if it was in Valdemarian.]

[There's one of her slightly confused smiles.] I'm Morgana of Camelot. It's a pleasure for me too.

Morgana, hi! Great! Aaaand now I'm out of things to say... Not because I don't want to talk to you, I really do, even if it's... on a weird language.

[...Hiccup, you are a cute kid. See Morgana's smile widen.] Where are you from, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III? From your clothes, it would look to be a warmer climate.

[Aadfgdfh, mixed signs, Hiccup could never understand a woman's smile. He barely sees it... So he is slightly nervous now.] Oh I'm from Berk. It's uh somewhere between the End of the World, and Freezing to death actually. [Rolls eyes.] Delightful place. You must be from a much nicer part of the world, Morgana don't you?

Camelot is in Albion. I have never been to Freezing to Death. Is it better or worse than the End of the World?

Albion... I think I heard about that place before. It's... not that far from Berk, if I can believe the travelers. Do you have dragons too?

Uuuh. Oh, um. Er... [Winces, and scratches the back is his head. Awkward.] It's- oh no, you don't- Oh come on, you didn't got it? Oh, I see, huhh, in that case- Aaah, this is awkward, so um, it was just... I was just wanting to say that Berk is on a very cold area, and... well I really wouldn't be surprised if a few hours of shipping to North there would be the edge of the world... [Nervous laugh.]

[Okay, now she's trying not to laugh.] I know that. The language is new to me, but the sense of it isn't. I was joking also.

We do have dragons in Camelot. Or at least we did. [The amusement has faded a little into something almost--angry?] They have been almost entirely wiped out.

[... Blinks. Then squints his eyes holding up a finger.] Ooooh, ooh you- you- you are a very tricky lady, you are. [But he is not angry, he is just not used people liking his sarcasm.]

So they are all over the place. Eh? W-wiped out, how is that possible?

The previous king waged war against all magic, including all creatures of magic. The dragons were slaughtered in his campaign.

He was against magic? But why? [Hiccup can't believe anyone would... do that. Alright they kill dragons too, but... Oh, Thor, it might be same.] And why would he do that? They were... taking the food or the fields...?

[She wants to say really damning things, but the guilt stops that.] There is . . . some danger in magic. King Uther thought the best way to protect his people was to completely eradicate it.

Danger? Why would be danger in that, it helps to keep in touch with the gods, and spirits.

People used it to create plagues in the towns of their enemies and curse entire villages. But magic is not evil. It's like any other thing that can be used for ill. It also has good uses.

Yeah so, maybe people who used magic in the wrong way would have been enough to... get rid of, no? But I'm not someone who should criticize a king... [Nervous laugh.]

Any king who can't listen to criticism is a tyrant. You've as much right to question him as I do.

Aah, so he is not a good person. Strange, how could he be king then?

[There's a momentary pause, and Morgana can't look at Hiccup.] He isn't. Not any longer. He is dead.

Oh... then dragons and magic can come back, don't they? [Though he notices the change of mood.] So it's not a good place to live either, huh...?

Camelot is among the most peaceful and just realms in Albion. But you can't just repeal the old king's laws when he's only just passed on. We have to give it time before we let it back again.

[This... doesn't stop her from nagging Arthur. But she tries.]
