one is female, a fiery ginger dressed in a suit and the other, male, is a rather stoic looking military officer in dressed proper military garb

the woman looks like she's about ready to give someone a firm yelling at while the man simply glances around him]

It's most likely back on Blackbird. If it is, we'll have to wait for either the Doctor or Mr. Copper to stumble across it.

The lucky part is if either of them finds it, they'll never stop poking at it until they've got it bleeping and whirling.

This is the Astral Plane. Those gathered here have been done so for an experiment, though I do not know it's nature.

As I said, I do not know the nature nor the purpose of it, however it's effects can be somewhat extreme.
