♥ oh be your own strength
[There is a gigantic four post bed on the Plane. Wrapped in its supple crimson sheets is none but Sirkka herself. Shirt? Who needs a shirt? A lacy purple bra is just fine, and no one knows what else she's wearing since the rest of her is hidden. She doesn't seem inclined to get dressed even though she has tea in her hand and bowl of fruit resting on a small table beside her.
She yawns, evidently more interested in staring up at the curtain than... you know. Putting on clothes.]
Ugh. Why does it have to be four in the afternoon?
[She rubs at her eyes.]
I have a lecture in half an hour. Thank God for the Plane.
[She shifts a little, then gives up and rests her head against the backboard.]
Fifteen minutes.

Ugh, no, don't go to that.
[Yeah, don't go to a lecture, Sirkka! Lectures are terrible.
Also I have no idea what the fuck Nathan's doing. He's probably just standing aimlessly around on the plane bored but he doesn't want to work. So bored is better.]
no subject
I have something for you.
[She doesn't miss a beat as she swings her legs over the side of the mattress and opens her nightstand. Sirkka offers a black-wrapped present to him. It's somewhat heavy, possibly very spiky and metal. Like, literally. Black metal only wishes they had a set of handcuffs like these.]
I'm sorry about what happened. I got the roses; they were lovely. If you don't want to speak to me again, I understand.
no subject
Huh? What, uh- what are you apologizing for?
[It's a half-there reply, as he's sort of mostly focused on unwrapping this thing.]
no subject
I shouldn't have... I reached right in there without even asking you, and that was terrible. And I used it against you, which was even worse.
I'm a freak. A psychic or an empath, or whatever you want to call it. I swore to protect other people but I couldn't even protect you from me.
no subject
Yeah, well, uh. I was being a dick. I have no fucking clue what- what I was thinking? Or, okay. It was like, uhmmmm... I don't know, I was just angry and not... myself. I guess it was forced? Whatever.
[He shrugs.]
And hey, hey, noooo, don't say that. You're not- you're not a freak. Maybe, uh, a bit... weird. But, no, I mean, you could be like fucking Miss Cleo. Tell people about their future or their problems or some shit.
[I guess Nathan's in a good mood today.]
no subject
That last part makes her laugh, though.]
I can't really see the future, but I am a counselor.
[She tilts her head.]
So we're okay now?
no subject
Uh, yeah? I mean... I, uh, apol- apologised or whatever. For being a dick.
[A beat.]
You could still, uh, be Miss Cleo. That's what she does, okay, she fucking... counsels... people. Or did. I think she died or something like that.

[Her smile is brighter now, though it soon gains a hint of mischief.]
Maybe. She was a lesbian, too.

[but now that he does see her, he blinks at her for a moment, probably staring a bit more than he should, but his mind isn't going that way anyway] Hey...hey, I know you! Don't I? [he can't help sounding terribly excited about this. he's just recognised someone!]
no subject
Oliver... [It might have been the Plane or something else, but there's no mistaking her worry.] Yes. You know me. [She doesn't want to worry HIM too much, though.] I'm Sirkka. What happened?
no subject
Oh, I've got amnesia. [tries to smile reassuringly] It'll get better.
Sorry, you were trying to sleep...
no subject
[She smiles at him, soft and patient. It's easier if she slips back into mother mode.] Has anyone tried to help you with that? Most amnesia clears up on its own, but depending on the cause, it might be more complicated.
I may be able to help you.
no subject
[blinks] What do you mean?
no subject
[Her smile gains a mysterious quality.]
I'm a counselor. I routinely work with patients suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, among other things.
no subject
Oh! [pauses, his expression lighting up at a flicker of memory] Yeah, we've...talked before. Haven't we? I mean, I haven't got anything like PTSD! But I feel like...like we've talked.
I don't know what it would do for amnesia, but thanks. [smiles wryly] But I thought you were trying to avoid giving a lecture?
no subject
[She nods slowly.] We talk a lot, actually. Unless I get terribly busy, which is what happened. I wish I'd caught you sooner.
[Her smile grows.] Allowances can be made for my favorite people.

Aaaahhh...!
[Just a 'light' yell as he sees the bed and Sirkka in it not far from him. There are giant, red exclamation marks jumping around him. There is an alarm even, flashing in red.]
no subject
Yep.]
Sorry, sorry! That could have gone over better...

She offers him a small plate of chocolates to make up for it. Maybe it's not good breakfast, but she doesn't care.]
I was awake when I got here. I thought it'd give me some extra time to nap before my lecture, that's all. I was careless. I should have remembered your condition. I'm sorry.

For now.
She eats a chocolate then, since he doesn't seem to want it.]
Oh, don't be like that. I'm awake now. Were you busy, though? I'll leave you if you want.

[slowly...wheels...closer]
Is it at least a good lecture?
