[When he appears on the plane, he's still in his suit and had been about to go change. He'd just come back in time to put his children to bed, relieving Miles of his duties.]

Hello? James? Phillipa? Miles?

[Cobb, however, was greeted with silence and a part of him felt a bit of panic start to slide in. It had him reaching into his pocket and pulling out the spinning top, it was time to see if this was real or not. So taking the top, he spins it and watches it spin. Spin and spin and spin until it stops and topples over. Once it's done that he scoops it back up and shoves it into his pocket.]

This isn't funny! Whatever game this is, it isn't funny and you better hope I don't find you. Because if I do... Oh, trust me you'll regret it.

[He has no clue who he's actually hollering at, but he doesn't like it. The feel of this place... the way it looks... That's when he notices the building and heads inside.]

Can somebody...

[Empty... the place was completely and totally empty]

Who's idea was this? I want an answer and I want it now.

Oh, don't worry about that! Time doesn't pass at home while you're here. And like I said, you can go back any time. Give it a go, if you like.

The whole 'time doesn't pass' bit, that's not something I'm liable to believe. Time passes everywhere you go.

Like I said, I don't really know how this place works, but I'm pretty sure it's at least outside of the normal flow of time.

Just because something is outside the normal flow of time doesn't mean that time doesn't pass.

[frowns] I guess it depends on what you mean by time passing. I mean, sure, time seems to pass here. But it definitely doesn't at home. You'll see when you go back.

Maybe I will. [frowns] Until then, however, I won't believe it. Time passes and it's that simple.

Okay... [is starting to wonder if he's always this stubborn] So, uh...I'm Oliver. I didn't catch your name.

[If his team were around, they'd give a resounding yes to anyone wondering something like that. But... his team isn't around so that question will have to go unanswered.]

Dom. How long have you been here, Oliver?

[sheepish] I'm not actually sure. At least six months. I've got amnesia at the moment, so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details.

[raises a brow] Someone decide to knock you over the head or were you in an accident?

Uh...sort of both? Except it was because of a chemical. Oh, but it didn't happen here! It was back home.

Back home... It followed you here?

Huh? Oh, no! Nothing like that. I got amnesia, woke up in hospital, and then I sort of accidentally came here. It's not contagious or anything.

You accidentally came here?

Yeah. You know how I said you think about home to go there? if you think about here, you come back. I was actually thinking about how much I didn't want to be in hospital, but I must've remembered here, or subconsciously thought about it or something. And I showed up here.
