[Sawako is standing in front of a table, with a pile of papers, an empty basket and a cup of pens to her left. To her right are smaller slips of paper, more pens, and an empty bowl.]

[she clears her throat]

Excuse - excuse me. After everything that happened and everyone being stuck here, there was a lot of things we didn't know. In order to avoid too much confusion in the future, or if people leave and new people find themselves stuck here, I thought it would be a good idea to collect information we can look back on later. Of course - of course this isn't required, but it would be really helpful. So - so if you could fill out one of these surveys and put it in the basket when you're finished it would really help, it would help a lot!

If anyone has an idea of where we could keep this information, it would help out a lot, too. The library doesn't seem like such a good idea now. I can take care of organizing and managing it, but it would be very welcome if anyone had space here to offer.

[she looks to the bowl and items on her right]

Also, [she fidgets, looking down and blushing, before looking up, determined once again] in my universe it's approaching the winter holiday season and I thought, maybe, we could use this as a way to get to know each other. So if anyone would be interested in doing a Secret Santa you can put your name in the bowl here. When it looks like we have enough people we can draw names.

And - and if anyone has any other ideas, please let me know!

[she bows] Thank you.

Well, well. What a productive idea. [Jade picks up one of the surveys, smiling slightly as he reads it.] Care to explain what a Secret Santa is?

Oh! Well, [she fidgets a moment, before becoming rigid with ~determination~] everyone puts their name in, and picks someone else's name. Whoever's name you pick, you have to get them a present. But - but you can't tell anyone who you picked until it's time to exchange gifts!

[Sebastian and Aloysius mostly ignore the first part to look at the bowl with curiosity.] What would be secret about him?

Eh? [but she actually stops to think about this, because clearly he doesn't know or else he wouldn't be asking] I guess - I guess it's because everyone gets to play Santa for someone else, but no one can know who that person really is, because you keep it secret until it's time to give out gifts.

An excellent suggestion. [Braxiatel smiles warmly at Sawako.] It's very nearly the Christmas season where I'm from as well.

[The surveys can of course wait for later. For now, Brax writes his name on a piece of paper and drops it into the bowl.]

Is it? I wasn't even sure if everyone here even celebrated those holidays. But - but that's great. I thought, if enough people were interested, maybe we could even have a party. It would be a much more relaxing way to get to know each other.

That sounds like fun. [No one likes presents from Jade. They're so terribly suspicious.] So I just write my name down?

So it's like normal Christmas, only you don't tell anyone that you're getting it for them?

[she nods] Mhm! And when there are enough names everyone gets to pick one out!

Mhm! But - but you can tell them once you give it to them of course! Do you celebrate Christmas in your world, too?

It's been too long since we've had one, and this is a good reason for it. [He picks up the papers and starts looking through them.] It might be interesting to have different people bring different things for the affair. A truly multicultural experience, embracing the panoply of multiple realities.

That would be great - it would be really, really great. Do you have any ideas, ah -

[and she turns red, and then bows apologetically]

I became so caught up in all these details that I forgot to introduce myself. I'm very sorry! I'm Kuronuma Sawako. It's very nice to meet you.

[Hey look, it's Nathan. He glances at the survey before deciding to whip out his reading glasses so he can just zip through it. It's short, he doesn't want to stare at it for ages. While he's doing that...]

[Now that he's made his stance on that known, and the survey read, he gives the girl a dubious sort of look, if dubious was ever something Nathan could accurately convey.]

[He still stares at it though, he is having a complex debate in his head over whether or not he should do it or if he should completely ADD to go to, idk, an amusement park and order them to not let anyone but him ride the roller coaster. That'd be fun.

[Nathan is distracted from his thoughts of bumper cars and how he should fly out somewhere to do that.]

[Firesong approaches the table, with Aya perched on his shoulder. He picks up one of the surveys to look it over.] This is quite a good idea. More information wouldn't go amiss.

..Just what is this 'Secret Santa' you mentioned?

[Jamie picks up one of the surveys, as if to go over it, but then promptly gets distracted.]

Secret...wait, do ye mean like Father Christmas? Why would that be a secret?

[grins as she takes a survey] This is a brilliant idea, Sawako.

Once you've collected all the information you can, I could make a digital database. I don't know if I could transfer it here, but at least it would be secure.

[People are actually participating, which she thinks is wonderful~]

Well - well it's never too late to start again! It might be too forward to ask, but why has it been such a long time?

Oh! Everyone puts their name in and then picks someone's name out. Whatever name you pick, you get them a gift, but - but you can't tell them that you picked them until it's time to exchange gifts. It's a Christmas tradition.
