[Guess who is back on the Plane again after being gone for a while? The Master has already seen the Twins and he's taken an egg away from all of that. He has also successfully left the Plane with it and come back a few times.

This time he is emptying his pockets.

He dumps out broken radio bits, a few damaged cell phones, odds and ends of wires and a mostly there pocket tool kit. What he pulls out of his hoodie pocket is the small something from the Twins.]

You can be for later. Lucky I'm not hungry just yet.

[Despite his threats to an egg that hasn't hatched yet with a cruel death by frying pan, he might seem a bit more in control of himself than other times he's shown up. That's cause the drums in his head aren't as bad as they were ~~thanks to Nine~~ and he's been able to focus on other things. Like fixing this faulty regeneration business. And eating. Lots of eating.

He takes a seat where he is to peruse the bits and bobs he's collected and classify them for usefulness. If he sets the egg in a fold of his hooded sweatshirt, it is not for its own safe keeping. It is for easy access should he wind up with a craving, that is all.]

Don't presume to tell me what I can and can't do with it. [He scowls at her before his attentions return to the cheetah stumbling around in front of him. If he moved closer to it, pose taking on a somewhat more protective manner, that is obviously a hallucination.]

{She watches that, then smiles}

Fine, I won't. I don't think you actually will anyways, now. Ne, you like it.

[He scoffs.] Who says I'm not just waiting till its a bit bigger?

Not much of a meal at the moment.

[It decides to try out a growl. Not quite as menacing as it would have liked, we're sure.]

{She crouches down to look at it a bit more on its level}

You'll like it by then. It's cute. Ne, but yours is actually something. I'm not sure what mine even is.

[And it knew the person was there but its a bit thrown by said person coming closer. It looks up to watch Diva crouch before losing its balance and falling back on its haunches. There's a cheep of mild distress because HEY that wasn't supposed to happen.]

You sound very sure of yourself. Perhaps I'll teach it to do something useful like hunt humans for entertainment.

{She smiles at the cute little cheetah, but then frowns at the Master}

Ne, that's just stupid. You shouldn't be allowed to keep it, if you're going to waste your time teaching it things like that. Even I'm better at taking care of things than that.

[Have a glare for your trouble. He moves over, scooping up the little cheetah and setting it in his lap. Visiting hours are over, Diva.]

Well we have to eat something when I'm not here.

Then eat normal animals like a normal person does. You're not allowed to hunt anymore here, especially.

Oh and you're one to talk. What do you think I classify any of those earthlings as? [He keeps the cub close, that is happily oblivious and gnawing on his sleeve, his other hand crackling with energy due to his own irritation.]

If I wanted to have ultimatums tossed down only for me to ignore them, I'd go find one of the Doctors.

Like you would listen to me if I said please, anyways. I just don't want anyone here hurt. I don't care much about the people wherever you come from.

Someone's learning! Bravo. Wherever and whoever I choose to make a meal is none of your concern.

[But he does let that energy fizzle out and dissipate. He removes his sleeve from the cubs mouth, petting it briefly.]

And you're not as immortal as I am, Master. I'd rip your hearts out before you even thought about eating anyone here.

I love a challenge. [He hasn't technically threatened anyone on the Plane. Yet.]

{Scoffs} Don't tempt me.

[smiles] Seems your humans have you quite well trained.

They do not have me trained!

[patronizing tone] Oh, I'm sorry, of course they don't.

E-Even if they did, it doesn't matter! I'll protect them if I have to. I love them.

It doesn't matter that they expect you to be something other than you are? [Yes, he is like the evil genius on countless B movies with the cat in his lap that he pets while gloating over his enemy.]

You would protect them. Noble but stupid. You love them. Sweet but still stupid. What of that is given back to you if all you ever do for them is change?

Ne, you're not the first person to tell me this, you know. I know that I'm doing that right thing. It doesn't matter what they give back to me, since because I've changed, I'm not alone anymore.

Doesn't make it any less true. Are you? Then you shouldn't listen to me.

What happens when they die?

It doesn't matter. No one can die here.

Not here, idiot. Where they are from. They won't live forever.

But "here" is the only place that matters.

[chuckles]
