[The Plane isn't exactly child-friendly, but there's one here nevertheless. He's sitting on Jupiter's Ghost, dressed in the rather unflattering robes of a Time Lord initiate. If he's at all worried about finding himself in space (or a particularly cool planetarium), he doesn't show it, and instead tips his head back to look at the stars above him, trying to name them.]

I don't want to be President. It's boring, and you have to listen to the High Council all the time. They're worse than the professors.

I would think so.

So if you don't want to be President and listen to all the idiots on the High Council, you better start figuring things out for yourself instead of blindly thinking things are true just because "it's what everyone else says."

Right then, now we've got that sorted. So Mr. Not-Going-To-Be-President, what do you think you'll do with yourself then?

[Speaking of the High Council, Braxiatel reappears, raising an eyebrow]

Career day with Professor Summerfield? Exciting.

[Oh, it's Brax again. Narvin gives him a sideways glance, then shrugs.]

But computers, that's fantastic! There's loads you can do with computers. My ex-husband is a bit of a pro with a circuit board or just about anything electronic. It's rather impressive too, when you consider what era he was born into.

But just an average technician seems a bit dull for someone like you. I'm sure you have your sights set on something a bit more exciting, haven't you?

[Braxiatel gives Benny a look to ask her why, exactly, she's trying to make Narvin into a spook] A technician is an admirable position. Why, Narvin might even engage in cutting-edge research that will change the shape of the Constellation itself.

I don't know yet. I'm only six. [Well, at least he's honest.]

[Benny smirks at Brax's look before answering Narvin]

That's very true. You have close to a century ahead of you yet. Best not to get tied down to anything too young.

Forgive me, Narvin, but I don't recall ever saying you had a choice in the matter.

[That bit of autocracy demonstrated, Brax turns to Bernice] Leela and Romana may be able to help. I wouldn't dream of not offering them the opportunity. I'll understand if you need to be at home.

[Narvin scowls a bit, but as Brax is acting like a perfectly normal Gallifreyan adult, he'll accept it. ...though not without complaint, of course. It's still Narvin.]
