[you all remember that chunk of beach the Doctor dragged up to the astral plane, don't you? Of course you do! Well, he's standing at it. In the snow. Yes, there's snow. The water is still lapping up on the shore but the sandy beach is mixed with snow. Most of the snow is gathered around the palm trees. The trees themselves have multi-coloured orbs of light floating gently around them.

The Doctor, for the record, is in his blue suit with the long brown coat on and there's a set of wrapped Christmas-looking presents at his feet. He's humming lightly, hands shoved into his pockets, looking around occasionally as if waiting for someone]

[a slight nod in return, gaze focusing on him once more]

Mine just keeps setting shark uprisings on me. Oh, right, do you know how that Cheetah revolt went? He wasn't especially talkative about it.

[pauses, then a bit more determined]

Well, with two of us watching him, that makes it easier to fight. I did try to help Sam and Gene learn to fight off hypnotism anyway.

Brilliant. I could help with that - I never had Koschei's natural talent but I've become adept at it.

I always have been rubbish at it compared to him. I'd love some help on it, though. Sam's a strong learner. He's picking it up well. Gene, erm...is doing as well as you can expect from him.
