.004

[Alex is used to being trapped in places for long periods of time against her will, so she's less concerned by the current events on the Plane and more... annoyed.

At least, she was. Right now she is stumbling through a busy section of the Plane with urgency, her head whipping around as she searches for something she hasn't found yet.

If your character is to approach her now, whether they've met her in the past or not, they will find her face change from panic to tender recognition. She stands completely still, as if no one around her exists anymore, a calm smile claiming her face as she stares at your character.]

... Molly?

[She'll approach your character quickly, tears brimming her eyes as her smile turns into a desperate grin.]

Molly, is that really you? What are you doing here?

{{ooc: In other news, Alex has been canon bumped to the end of 3x03.}}

Is there anyway to research him? I assume you're the only one who can see him.

[Almost amused.]

I never said you were. You're rational enough to doubt everything.

[identity profile] rationalist.livejournal.com 2010-10-21 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
A shame, though I'm not surprised. There aren't many people who think logically.

[He accepts her hand with a firm shake.]

Sherlock Holmes. I know very well what it's like to work with idiots.

[identity profile] rationalist.livejournal.com 2010-10-21 06:39 am (UTC)(link)
Sometimes that's for the best. [He'd really rather not belong with people like Anderson.] It's more than just your ghost, though.

[identity profile] rationalist.livejournal.com 2010-10-21 06:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Sherlock pauses, hands in his pockets.]

Your tone. It's especially used on little girls. Daughter, however, it had to be daughter. While it was possible she was someone else's daughter for whom you're simply raising, you don't seem to have many attachments to other people. So, no one to give you a little girl.

I'm a consulting detective. The police come to me when they're out of their depth. However, I also take private cases if they're interesting enough.

[identity profile] rationalist.livejournal.com 2010-10-22 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[He raises an eyebrow.]

Well, you seem much less irritating than most police.

I've never had the pleasure of working with one. I trace the living from the dead.

[identity profile] rationalist.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
By the time I'm called in, someone is usually dead. Often several someones.

[identity profile] rationalist.livejournal.com 2010-10-24 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
Not always a last resort, if the case is sufficiently strange enough to begin with.

One recent case involved serial suicides. Or murders where there was no possible way someone could have entered the room. Something fun.

[identity profile] rationalist.livejournal.com 2010-10-26 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
[With a slight smirk.]

Yes. Not entirely satisfactory but well enough. As a psychologist, you might appreciate why I'm not entirely satisfied, actually. [Alex is lucky and gets an explanation.] It was a cabby. It talked the victims into suicide. I uncovered his motives but not how, exactly, he got his victims to take the pill.

[Ignoring he almost did.]
