[Damon desperately needs a very strong drink after the past few days. The only problem? The bar is surrounded by water. He attempts to get across via a few wooden crates, but his dress robe isn't very helpful. So he falls, of course, and attempts to trudge through the water, trying to ignore that hungry growling!
It's only when he hears the roar that he panics -- he doesn't know how to fight, he can't even see the creature, he's going to die again, he wants to go home...and then he disappears from the Plane.
He reappears a few moments later a safe distance out of the water, still looking very wet, panicked, and highly confused]
I thought we were trapped here. And what...what was that thing?

I don't know.
[She moved to edge of the water, peering in with a slight frown. Beneath the surface, it was still and silent.]
It is gone, for now.

[Arthur puts his sword away and tries to think of going home, but nothing happens. He stares at Damon suspiciously]
I thought the same, and it appears we still are, except for you. [he approaches Damon] Why is it you can return home when no one else can?

Crossing that water would be an incredibly stupid risk to take for someone who didn't have the assurance of being able to pull themselves away from this place. Your ability to return home came to you at what seems the most convenient moment.

I honestly didn't know there was anything in the water when I attempted to cross it. It isn't usually there in the first place. [he pauses, a bit embarrassed] Not that I frequent the bar on a regular basis, of course.

You weren't suspicious in the least of water appearing mysteriously out of nowhere after countless monsters have terrorized us for weeks?
[he's learned suspicion well from his daddy~]

It doesn't work. Now he is mad.
He crosses his arms and glares at Damon from over here.]
Hey. Fuck you!

A-aye. I'll not go anywhere. Just...hurry, will ye?

[and with that, he starts dropping meat into the water]

Phew! That was closer than I would have liked. Thank ye, Damon.
