[Oliver has clearly not been having a good time of it lately. by the look of him, he's recently been in a fight. with what, exactly, is anyone's guess, considering what the Plane is like at the moment. in any case, he has bruises under both eyes, with scratches and contusions on his cheeks and forehead. actually, any later Doctors might find his exact injuries uncannily familiar. they are, in fact, the very same injuries he had when the Doctor found him in an alley after he was unknowingly possessed by a particularly nasty brain worm known as the Puppeteer]

[at the moment, Oliver is wandering the edge of the forest. his hair is wild, and so are his eyes. his clothing is rumpled and streaked with dirt, and he has a very stormy expression on his face. he's glancing around as he walks, his eyes flicking from one direction to the next, muttering quietly to himself]

I thought I could--no, he thought he could escape. Or even fight me again. Hah! [laughs darkly] Like he could do that, broken as he is now. Idealistic fool. He lost before he even started. And now... [grins] Oh now, I just have to find someone, and it'll be worth every minute in this pathetic human body. [chuckles to himself, but the sound is callous, his face twisted into a very un-Oliver-like sneer] People are out here somewhere...

[ooc: Posting again because I have free time this weekend, and Farrah is persuasive I couldn't resist the hallucination plot! Unfortunately, Oliver's hallucinations have been too immersive for him. While he isn't physically possessed by the Puppeteer, he has experienced a hallucination of being possessed (complete with getting a little beat up, oops), and at the moment, he fully believes he is. He's even hearing its voice in his head. This means that, though he lacks the accompanying super-human strength and speed of an actual possession, he is currently unstable and ready to start killing. Be warned that he will attack others--in his clumsy, human way]

[ Confusion, followed by understanding. He rubs the back of his head, almost in embarrassment. ] Eheheh... I just did what I had to, you know?

More importantly, we should probably— [ A spike of fear and paranoia, before he turns to look somewhere to his left. If Oliver concentrates, he might hear the same disturbing scratching and growling off in the distance that Roxas hears. ]

[he feels that, then turns to follow Roxas' gaze, though he doesn't hear anything at first] [whispers] What's wrong?

[ Roxas closes his eyes for a moment, then shakes his head. ] There's something out there. I don't know what, and I can't find it... but every now and then I'll hear it growling or scratching.

[oliverplus]

[his eyes widen a bit at that] I've been hearing that, too.

[ He gives Oliver a surprised look. Dread, at the possibility of it not just being his imagination, but hope that he's not going crazy. ] You have?

[cringes at that dread] Hey, calm down. I mean...the Plane made noises before, too. It's just a different one. Probably has something to do with what's going on...

... You're right. I just wish I knew where to find whatever it is...

[is trying to go back into his regular optimistic mode] At least we don't hear it often.

[glances at him uncertainly] You're sure you're all right, Roxas?

[ He hesitates, then grins. The worry is still there, but it's shoved aside for protectiveness instead. ] Yeah, I'm good. We should probably find somewhere else to hang out, though, it's not so safe out in the open anymore.

Oh, good point. [looks a bit sheepish] Anywhere in particular you wanna go?

Okay, sure! [starts to pull himself to his feet--slowly. his head's still pounding a bit, potion or no potion]

[ Roxas stands, much quicker than Oliver, and offers him a hand up. ]

Cheers. [takes Roxas' hand, allowing him to help him to his feet] The kitchen should be...over that way, I think.

[ Roxas nods. ] Sounds about right.

[ And he begins to lead the way, since he could probably keep them on a relatively safe path as long as he keeps his ears open for any unfriendlies... though he doesn't think to explain this to Oliver. ]

[Oliver is used to being with the Doctor, who insists on leading, so he doesn't think much of it] Have you been coming to the Plane for long?

Oh yeah. Couldn't tell you how long exactly, but "a while" works well enough. How about you?

[laughs] A while, too. Maybe something like...I don't know, not a year yet.

Let's see...I got here just before that thing with the tarot cards ended, and then it snowed. Ring any bells for you?

Yeah, I remember that. Sounds like you missed the onsen. [ He grins back at Oliver. ] Too bad. We had rings that let us fly if you wanted it hard enough while we were there.

[oh Roxas, you are doing a fantastic job of taking his mind off things] I'd miss it, too!

Did anything else really cool happen here before that?

Hm... I'm not sure. I think that was the first big thing since I've been around, but it was still a lot of fun just getting to know the people here, you know?
