[Oliver has clearly not been having a good time of it lately. by the look of him, he's recently been in a fight. with what, exactly, is anyone's guess, considering what the Plane is like at the moment. in any case, he has bruises under both eyes, with scratches and contusions on his cheeks and forehead. actually, any later Doctors might find his exact injuries uncannily familiar. they are, in fact, the very same injuries he had when the Doctor found him in an alley after he was unknowingly possessed by a particularly nasty brain worm known as the Puppeteer]

[at the moment, Oliver is wandering the edge of the forest. his hair is wild, and so are his eyes. his clothing is rumpled and streaked with dirt, and he has a very stormy expression on his face. he's glancing around as he walks, his eyes flicking from one direction to the next, muttering quietly to himself]

I thought I could--no, he thought he could escape. Or even fight me again. Hah! [laughs darkly] Like he could do that, broken as he is now. Idealistic fool. He lost before he even started. And now... [grins] Oh now, I just have to find someone, and it'll be worth every minute in this pathetic human body. [chuckles to himself, but the sound is callous, his face twisted into a very un-Oliver-like sneer] People are out here somewhere...

[ooc: Posting again because I have free time this weekend, and ~~Farrah is persuasive~~ I couldn't resist the hallucination plot! Unfortunately, Oliver's hallucinations have been too immersive for him. While he isn't physically possessed by the Puppeteer, he has experienced a hallucination of being possessed (complete with getting a little beat up, oops), and at the moment, he fully believes he is. He's even hearing its voice in his head. This means that, though he lacks the accompanying super-human strength and speed of an actual possession, he is currently unstable and ready to start killing. Be warned that he will attack others--in his clumsy, human way]

[It's pretty clear something is wrong, here.]

...Oliver?

[grins when he sees him, cutting off his muttering] Hey, Mu. [the words sound almost natural, but his smile isn't quite right. inside his head, his thoughts are eager and excited, but there's a darkness to them--anger and bitterness seething just below the surface, and a deep, horrible fear under that]

[Instantly wary.]

Oliver, what has happened?

What? Oh. [puts a hand to his face] This. Had a little run-in with a monster. [grins, amused to say it like that. it wasn't just any monster]

What about you, Mu? He--I know you're always fighting hard for the people you care about. [the bitterness is coming to the surface now, his smirk hardening into something angrier]

[Mu's on the defensive now, his weight shifting slightly.]

You are not Oliver.

[grins] You noticed! But that's not exactly true. All of Oliver's dark side belongs to me. And he was so very hurt that he had to die in one of those matches--die while all his friends just sat back and watched. It wasn't hard to amplify that regret into bitterness and anger. [shifts as well, getting ready to attack] He hates you now, you know.

The result was his choice. I do not believe you.

Then I'll show you. [and he lunges, expecting to move with super-human speed--but the actual movement is only human]

[Which gives Mu plenty of time to shift out of the way. He says nothing, since the time for words has passed, but he's not attacking, either.]

[Which Mu, again, dodges]

Stop.

You can't stop me! [tenses, holding his ground, considering how next to attack]

Oh no?

[sneers and tries to kick him this time]

[Mu catches Oliver's foot and holds onto it with a grip that's surprisingly strong, given how calm he looks]

You can't fight me as you wish to in this body, hm?

[just about loses his balance but manages to hold it--except Mu's still got his foot] It doesn't matter. I'll find out what he's doing and stop him!

[Keeping a firm hold on the foot]

I doubt you will.

[sneering] He's too weak to fight back. You won't have him.

He seems strong enough to keep you this far at bay.

[shouts angrily] He doesn't have control!

[but there's doubt underneath his words--and, deep down somewhere, a surge of determination]

Oh no?

[Mu gives the leg a sudden, sharp, yank to throw him off balance]

[cries out. the jerk is unexpected, and Oliver hits the ground hard]

[Mu lets him go, but ~~looms~~ stands over him silently. ]

[glares up at him, his head smarting] Do you think that'll stop me?

I had hoped, yes. [So he puts a foot on Oliver's back to keep him from getting up]
