{Noa is checking out the table of weapons, picking up some and looking at them curiously. Most of them are fairly odd to her, but she's look for something like a phaser. Or staser, if you want Doctor Who. Obviously, no luck so far. But she looks up suddenly}

...Father?

{She freezes for several moments, then suddenly looks terrified, pushing the table and starting to throw the weapons (and eventually her key) at...nothing}

Nooo! Go away! Leave me alone! I don't know! I don't know anything!!

[Jade picks up the key, avoiding the range]

Noa, wasn't it?

{After throwing a few more things and screaming, Noa falls to her knees, hugging her chest tightly. If she was able, she would be crying}

Stop! Please, don't... It's everything I am, you have to understand!

[clinical]

[Jade observes this with some interest]

Can you at all hear me?

{Noa finally seems to realize he's there and looks back at him. She has her hands clutched over her chest}

...It's everything I've got. You understand, right?

{The front of her uniform is already slightly unzipped, so she reaches like she's going to dig into her chest where the seams of her manufacture are clearly visible--but when she removes her hands, she's holding a heart (http://i949.photobucket.com/albums/ad333/tsunderes3/heart.png) floating above her hands. It's not human, but it's definitely recognizable as a heart.}

[Jade examines it with that same cool interest. It is unusual, and it's tempting to take it from her and get a better look. But Jade is trying to remember to be well-behaved.]

{And she begins to snap out of it--the heart disappears like smoke, drifting away, and Noa's eyes focus on Jade}

I...Wait, what happened? Have you been here this whole time, Jade?

That depends on how long you've been doing this.

Seeing things...? {She puts a hand to her head, looking down like she's trying to recall what it was} I can't remember what it was. My chest feels weird, though.

{oh god what. Noa pats her chest to make sure that all her pieces are still in place, but then looks back at Jade with essentially this face}

That's not funny! This isn't any time for jokes...!!

[Axel dodges a flying dagger and an assortment of sharp things, though he's less cool about it than Jade is.]

Whoa whoa whoa! Settle down before you kill somebody!

{She throws a battle axe right at Axel}

[Axel deflects the battle axe with a shield of dark magic. It honeycombs, absorbing the impact.] I don't want it! You keep it!

{She picks up a sword and is about to throw that too, but suddenly snaps out of whatever she was seeing--and the sword seems suddenly heavier, too. Her arms drop with the weight and she looks at Axel, dumbfounded}

...Why do I have a sword?

[Axel is on edge, half-crouched, shadows flickering about his fingertips.]

{She drops the sword heavily with a clang, which surprises her with how loud it is}

[He inspects his coat. Nope, nothing hit him.]

I think you were seeing things. Bad things. Are you okay now?

Seeing things? But I... {She trails off, trying to recall what of. But she only imagines flashes of red and flowers. What does it mean?}

I don't remember seeing anything. Or, um, trying to kill you! I'm really sorry!
