[It's a lion! Get in a fast-moving vehicle!

Well, to be more specific, it's two lions. One of them has an uncharacteristically dark red fur tone with a creamier underneath and an unmistakable spiky red mane. And that voice? The red lion is definitely Axel, though it's hard to tell who the other one is while he's gloating on top of his victim.]

[ ... Yep, that was Roxas' voice. Coming from the creamy yellow lion cub. What. ]

[Axel grins like the bastard he is. It is somehow twice as frightening in lion form as it is when he's normal.] Are you a lion or a mouse? Just try to get me. [He lets Roxas go and tries to dart away, but somehow manages to trip over his own (four) feet and facesmush into a nebula.] Grrfflb—!

[ Cue Roxas rolling onto all four paws, then pouncing onto Axel from the side. ] Gotcha!

It can be, but it's pretty fun sometimes, too.

What kind of worlds do you visit? Is there a limit? Can you visit any world?

All kinds, and only ones that are connected to each other. But they usually only connect because they need help.

What kind of help?

With the Heartless, mostly.

Heartless?

Yeah. They're monsters, born from the darkness in peoples' hearts and drawn to the darkness in others. Pretty mindless, but dangerous.

... what do they do? Do they take over a person's mind? Or are they simply monsters that attack people?

Attack people, steal their hearts. But... the most dangerous thing is when there's enough of them to go after the heart of an entire world.

A world's "heart"?

Right. The heart of the world. If the darkness gets to that... then the entire world falls.

It's destroyed..?

... yeah. Mostly.

Mostly? Are there... pieces left?

[ He nods. ] Some people... they wash up into other worlds. Traverse Town is where most of them go.

There's no way to stop a world whose "heart" has been compromised?

Well... there's one way. We did it once, a year ago, but it's not easy.

That's amazing. This is what you do all the time?

Mostly trying to prevent it from ever happening, but yeah. That's been my life for a while.

There's no... one person who wants to destroy everything, just these Heartless...

Not always. There's always going to be somebody who thinks they can take control and do whatever they want, whether or not the Heartless are involved. Even if they usually are. But we take care of that, too.

[She nods to herself.]

Of course. In those cases, they become a tool...

[And then a small smile.]

Hope, huh? That's always good to have. [ He gives another lionish smile. ]
