[sitting at a desk in the middle of the Astral Plane, working on his paperwork like a good little nancy boy. And, like a good little nancy boy, he's listening to a broadway musical. On the glasses Fumie gave him, to be specific.

In fact, he's singing along to one. Yes indeed, Sam's singing "If You Were Gay."]

I can usually guess what mood he's directing at me judging on which sort of mean thing he says to me. 'Gladys' is generally affection. 'Nancy-boy poofter' is friendly. 'Tyler' is strictly work and anger. [beams] You did, did you? That's brilliant. Must've been fantastic.

It is pretty boring. But it has to be done by someone, so! Off Sam Tyler goes to work.

Is that so? Ne, Gene doesn't exactly seem like the most friendly of people, now does he? But if those are good things, you two must be really good friends, am I right? {Nods} And he lost, so he has to stop calling me all those weird names. Bird, skirt, those are all so...Hm, they don't make me mad really, but they're just kind of irritating. So just Diva now.

You can't get someone else to do it for you, though?

Not exactly friendly, no. But he's a very good mate. Despite everything. [smiles] Just 'Diva'? Very well done. It's rare to hear him talking to a woman without a demeaning nickname.

I could - I do, some of them really try - but it has to be done properly. And I'm the only one who knows how to do that.

Well, he has to now! Gene promised since he lost. Anyways, since I would have won no matter what, I just wanted my "prize" to be something simple like that. It wouldn't be fair to ask for a Versace gown~

On a copper's pay? You'd bankrupt him. Maybe it's good for him. Maybe it'll teach him a few manners. ...Unlikely, but maybe.

[slightly defensive] N-no, I just think some things have to be done right.

If that's the case, then we should drink more often. Every time I win, I could teach him something new~

{Laughs lightly} That's a perfectionist.

Try not to school him too badly. Old dogs have problems with new tricks, you know.

[not!sulking] It's just proper work ethic.

Oh, of course not. I wouldn't be able to teach him a lot anyways. I know a lady's etiquette...Men's is completely different.

It's good! {She steps back to sit on the corner of the desk} I certainly wouldn't have the patience. I would take one look then get someone else to do something like that.

Maybe give us another thirty-three years and it won't be. I can hope, anyway.

[smiles and turns another page] I guess I believe in the importance of what I'm doing. Which, probably, is the reason no one else does it; they don't realise that it has to be done.

Ne, then I hope I can make it that long. With Saya at home, I'm worried about whether or not I'll get to see. But that makes the Astral Plane...a little better. Now that she's actually here and they're trying to schedule that performance, I think I'm afraid to die. Or at least now since I have friends like Sam that I don't really want to leave behind.

Hmm, that's a good way to think of it. Well, then I guess it's good you take it seriously!

...If you told Saya that you were trying to change, would she stop?

I doubt she'd believe me. My Chevalier don't. Amshel especially doesn't. He said I should stop being silly.

Would she believe me?

I...well...She might, I'm not sure. But...How would Sam be able to meet sister?

It's possible... Sometimes, people's worlds seem to merge together. Minato and Fumie's overlap a lot. Mine's merged in some places with theirs, too. So if ours merged enough, she'd be able to see me and I'd be able to see her.

...Sister...{She smiles and looks down} If Sam could do that, and if Sam could make her believe that I can change, I'd be...It would be--{And she has a thought and shakes her head}

No, no, no, if Sam can see Saya, then Sam could see my Chevalier. Sam can't meet them.

[frowns] Why not?

I like Sam. My Chevalier are my knights, and my Chevalier don't...Other people can't be around me without them knowing. I don't want Amshel to kill Sam because I like Sam.

...Oh. Understandable, then.

But...I'd like that. I really would. I think that Saya would believe a stranger. Sam, if you could talk to her...I think she would at least give me a chance.

Then, if I can, I will. I definitely will.

Just have to figure out how to encourage our worlds to merge. [tilts head] Maybe ought to warn the Guv. ...Nah, he can deal with random bits of New York.

I think Gene will be fine. New York is a big, bustling city, but it's alright. Not a huge shock, I mean.

Ne, but what made yours merge with Minato and Fumie's?

I don't know. When Meredith Sault was talking to the Guv about it - well, when Meredith Sault was talking about it and the Guv was not listening very well - she said something about... 'closeness'? I'm not sure what she meant, but it had something to do with that.

Closeness? {Considers it before she smiles} Then if that's it, it makes me think that they could. If Sam and I are friends, that's being close, right?
