[Oliver is in the library today, seated at a table with several stacks of books around him. most of the spines have to do with a variety of mythologies or with the end of the world--or the universe or time, depending on what society the book is from. he has a large volume open in front of him and is paging quickly through it, skimming for...something. unfortunately, it's an old book and he's creating a bit of a dust screen in his haste]

Weber said Pestilence, and if that rain held some sort of disease, maybe... But what does that have to do with the forcefield? Is it all even relate- [coughs, pausing in his research to sit back a bit and wave a hand in front of him in an attempt to dissipate some dust. he realises someone else is there then and blinks] Oh! Hey, I didn't--[cough]--see you there. [tries to smile through one more cough. waves his hand again; dust is so annoying]

Maa, that's true. Though I think everything one should know is on 2chan.

[Box squints his eyes.] But it was just rain, no? Well, black rain, but rain. Wait, are you saying it's not natural around...? And what- what is coming, what do you mean?!

I...I don't know, Box. But there isn't usually weather here, and it definitely wasn't normal rain either. It wasn't just black--it...it wasn't even water. [but he can't bring himself to say what it was]

Mmm... a little, yes. But not exactly, it's older and I can get a lot of info from there, while 4chan is, well, it's for fun mostly.

[Box is confused and nervous.] There is no weather here? Then how come that rain-- What do you mean it wasn't normal!? Was it some toxic?! We will grow another head later, or start to understand animals?! Or just become zombies, oh tell me won't become zombies, Oli...!

Whoa, hey, calm down! It's gone now, so...I don't think anything else is going to happen. [not that something hasn't already]

[Box whimpers and immediately changes his gloves to a new pair, just in case...] You can never know! If it had some virus or bacteria, or anything like that, it can take days, months, weeks, years to get to you and then, hah, and then you will be sorry for taking it so lightly, when you are eating brains from the humans' skulls!

Pestilence and War. [not that he's been looking this up or anything] I'm trying to find out more about them--some of the people who run things on the Plane have those names.

Otherwise, maybe you could just listen for anything about what the Plane is up to?
