[Oliver is in the library today, seated at a table with several stacks of books around him. most of the spines have to do with a variety of mythologies or with the end of the world--or the universe or time, depending on what society the book is from. he has a large volume open in front of him and is paging quickly through it, skimming for...something. unfortunately, it's an old book and he's creating a bit of a dust screen in his haste]

Weber said Pestilence, and if that rain held some sort of disease, maybe... But what does that have to do with the forcefield? Is it all even relate- [coughs, pausing in his research to sit back a bit and wave a hand in front of him in an attempt to dissipate some dust. he realises someone else is there then and blinks] Oh! Hey, I didn't--[cough]--see you there. [tries to smile through one more cough. waves his hand again; dust is so annoying]

She's a security guard. I've heard all sorts of stories about the crazy things people try to bring into the Spaceport. I bet she could get a hold of something, and I could give it to you.

Chuuu... [ Static continues to cuddlecling, apparently having a nice dream. ]

Wait, you—back up. Get a hold of... what?

[glances up at Static, but he doesn't want to disturb him]

[isn't it obvious?] Something to deal with the cameras!

[ Static just keeps on snoring obliviously~ ]

You... could get something like that? From 'Anna'?

Yeah! I mean, I'm sure I could. She confiscates this sort of stuff, so she'll know what they do with it.

Yeah! [probably not, but she used to be an investigatory archivist, so she should be able to get away with it well enough] You think getting the cameras down 'll be enough to let you get out?

[polarization]

... I dunno.

[oliverplus]

Anything else you can think of that we could do? [sits down, holding Static as he does, and then gently removes him from his head to hold him in his lap]

Pi, cha... [ Yep, the little guy is still sleeping. ]

No. I mean—I dunno.

What is it? Did you think of something?

[polarization]

[ He shakes his head. ]

[frowns] Well, if you do, let me know. And I'll talk to Anna and bring you something to help. Are you in the library much?

[polarization]

[ He hesitates, not sure if he wants to say. Then... sighs. ]

Yeah.

[oliverplus]

Okay, then I'll come back here when I've got something! [determined!]
