[Sirius Black is in the bar, though he hasn't started in on the alcohol yet. He's simply nursing a cup of tea, and staring into space (no pun intended) -- forgive him, he's a little disoriented. Eventually, he speaks;]

Generally when you get killed, it means someone else was around to do the killing...only we didn't see anyone else. Didn't even see the spells fired off. I suppose they could've been using an Invisibility Cloak, or a Disillusionment charm. But I thought Remus, Harry and I were the only ones around from our world...


[he goes back to his tea for a long moment, then mutters;] Hurry up, Moony.

I've learned that being in the run isn't always a bad thing, especially for those who need you. I wouldn't question his devotion too much. Sometimes you simply can't help it, even against your better judgment.

[nods] It's not so much questioning his devotion as questioning my own competency. But I plan on making up for it here, if I can. It's brilliant having him and Moony to focus on. Keeps me sane. [well, relatively speaking]
