[Sirius Black is in the bar, though he hasn't started in on the alcohol yet. He's simply nursing a cup of tea, and staring into space (no pun intended) -- forgive him, he's a little disoriented. Eventually, he speaks;]

Generally when you get killed, it means someone else was around to do the killing...only we didn't see anyone else. Didn't even see the spells fired off. I suppose they could've been using an Invisibility Cloak, or a Disillusionment charm. But I thought Remus, Harry and I were the only ones around from our world...


[he goes back to his tea for a long moment, then mutters;] Hurry up, Moony.

[wistfully] Too bad it's gone now. Couldn't even get a new one if I wanted to.

I didn't hear any sounds, but Diva mentioned the same thing. Was yours a bit...ironic? Something you've done before?

[He gives Sirius an apologetic shrug, then sips his soda.]

... Yeah. Exactly like that. That's why I said it wasn't as simple as someone sneaking up behind you and shooting at you. It's... a little more personal than that.

[His expression darkens.]

I'm the only person I know who uses fire the way I do. There was one other person, if you could call him that... and I took care of him personally.

[distantly] And I have killed the way I died, years ago...there was a war. Diva said she died too, the way she'd killed someone else.

I don't suppose self-defense matters in this case.

Knowing this place, I'd expect there to be more self-defense cases. The Plane's not exactly crawling with murdering types, far as I know. 'Course, there were those deathmatches...

Being forced into a situation like that doesn't make you a murderer.

[nods] Trust me, I know. I only meant it was ironic, that just after so many people were forced to kill, a thing like this happens. And irony seems to be the whole point here...

Yeah. [He drinks down about half his soda in one go.] I'm not sure what makes me angrier-- the fact that it's happening so soon after the death matches, or that the Twins didn't stop it. [He scoffs.]

[sighs] Fair point. [thoughtfully] I wonder if they like dogs...

I dunno. Thinkin' about doing it myself, but I should probably hold off on getting into trouble until I figure out what's going on at home. I've been a little scarce since rain fell and everyone died.
