[Haruhi came here to study - the small, low table she sits at is covered with books - but at the moment she is distracted. An electric crackle keeps jolting her every time she touches her spiral bound notebook. Her lamb is tucked under the desk, sleeping. It's roughly as lazy as she is. After another shock, Haruhi sighs and grabs her regular notebook instead.

However, in doing so she looks up and catches the sight of all the falling stars. Haruhi blinks and pauses in her studying.]

Ah, but where are they falling from...?

[Tamaki appears, followed by a collection of animals. Well not a collection, but Antoinette and Tamaki's and Kyouya's pandas. Tamaki looks up at the falling stars while Antoinette sniffs at Haruhi's lambs and the pandas just sort of chill the way pandas do]

Does it matter?

[Haruhi's lamb sniffs back, making a little baa sound, while Haruhi looks up at Tamaki.]

I guess it doesn't. It was just strange. It's never done this.

[the baa gets his attention, and he sits down on the ground beside Antoinette as he looks under the desk at Haruhi's lamb]

Haruhi's little lamb! Have you picked out a name yet?

[She looks back down as the lamb nuzzles at Tamaki.] Ah? No, I've never been good at naming things...

[and Tamaki pets the lamb, and nuzzles the top of its head in return]

That can't be true. [he is focused on cuddling the lamb still as he says all this] Does your lamb remind you of anything or have any odd habits? Something like that can help with naming things.

[She tries to think.] It follows me around everywhere. It doesn't like it if it can't follow.

[laughs] Then you'll have to call it Mary!

Mary...? -Ah! [She smiles.] Then I'll name it that, sempai.

[he can't stop himself from blushing] If Haruhi likes it... I'm glad you like it. [he clears his throat, and then pets the lamb] How about you? Do you like it? Are you a Mary?

[The lamb seems quite happy and shifts more into the petting. Haruhi smiles at Tamaki.] I think she likes it!

[Claudius, who has been wandering about the Plane without much direction, has paused to stare at admire the meteor shower.]

This isn't a common occurrence?

[She shakes her head.] I've never seen it and I've been coming here for a while, I think.

[He pauses for a moment to give her a very, very puzzled look - then tilts his head back to the sky.]

...I think they're usually considered omens.

[He rests his arm on Haruhi's head, looking up at the stars.] Perseus, of course. But that might not be what you're asking. I admit, it seems strange for us to see debris burning up in an atmosphere that I didn't think existed.

[She pouts a bit but allows him to.] Yes, that's what I was wondering. I guess it makes sense since we can breathe but it doesn't seem right.

[In his way, he is making a fond gesture.] The atmosphere would have to be moving through the remains of a comet, which does not seem to fit how the rest of this place is designed.

Hmmmmm, who knows where they're from. They're beautiful though, aren't they?

They are really pretty. They reminded me of the Tanabata.

[Then she notices the fox cub and smiles.] Did that come from your egg?

[blinks] Oh? What part of it?

[he smiles and tilts his head back to see it, but the fox is just out of his eyeline] Yeah, still haven't thought of a name yet though. I was thinking it was a boy, but maybe it's a girl. [a slight shrug of his shoulders] I can't tell. But you got a lamb, huh?

Oh, the way the stars are, it makes me think how my father always wants shooting stars for the festival.

[A bit sheepish.] I wouldn't know either. But I did. It's hard because it wants to follow me everywhere.

[he chuckles] That's all? Why shooting stars?

You're Bo Peep now, Haruhi! [actually, he can think of the perfect outfit that'd fit that theme, but it's no fun to pull out if Tamaki isn't there to tease.]

[She linefaces at that but it's her goodnatured sort.] Ah, don't get any ideas from that... I'm already surprised sempai hasn't done a pet show or something.

[he smiles innocently] Nope, no ideas here. But you're right, this would be the sort of thing Tono would go for. Maybe he's waiting until Honey and Mori-sempai have pets of their own?

Hmmm? Like Hikaru and all the rest of the sempai? Well, it'd be nice to have them all here so we can all have fun together and hold extra hosting events with everyone instead of half the club! And I wouldn't have to keep this place from Hikaru anymore!

But...[his enthusiasm deflates] But coming here could also put them in danger. And Hikaru probably would find out about what I did somehow. I don't want him to know.

[She jumps just a little but she's more or less used to Renge's ninja abilities.] Ah, they are. Even if it's a little strange, isn't it? But I can't deny that they're pretty.

Ah, I think Japanese poetry is the best kind for the stars! It just sounds right, I think! But it really is strange... But there are certainly stranger things here! For example, did you see that black hole, Haruhi-kun?

That would be absolutely wonderful! I mentioned to Kyouya-sama immediately that we must host an event on the Plane, and I think I mentioned something to do with the stars, but ahh, that would be perfect!! Very Gundam. I'm pretty sure they had a Tanbata festival in space in Destiny...!!
