[The good news is that, this time, Freya is starting to think that maybe, this might not be some kind of hallucination. Also, she's completely unaware of the recent death matches (though, depending on who she talks to, that can only last for so long).

She's settled into the library - where else? - with a collection of short stories (Fantastic Alice), settled into one of the chairs. There's a mug of cooling hot chocolate on the floor next to her, which she hasn't touched for the past ten or so minutes. Another thing she isn't really paying attention to is her book. That's because, at some point, she got distracted contemplating the implications of a session with Michael.

Sadly, missing the death matches also means she has no egg to hatch. Woe.]

[Oliver spots her as he enters the library] Hey! It's you again! [makes a beeline in her direction. he feels a little bad for how their first meeting went. he definitely wasn't himself while he was under that experiment--as evidenced by his current thoughts, which are far from black and white. he's glad to see her again but nervous about how she might regard him, after the way he was acting last time]

[Freya, in return, is feeling a little startled out of her reverie, pensive about something vague and not to do with Oliver, but also somewhat pleased to see someone she's met already.]

Hey, I don't think I caught your name before. I'm Oliver, by the way. [gives her a wave as he comes over to sit in the seat next to her]

Yeah. I mean, I spend a lot of time on the Plane, and the library's good for quiet. [that and he prefers the Plane to home by like...a lot]

Have you been on the Plane much yet?

Me? Oh, I help refugees get resettled. There's a war on, but we're a little out of its reach, so a lot of people come to Gondovan to start over.

It's--well, it depends. Are you from Earth? Gondovan's on the Rim of the Earth Empire--half a galaxy away, basically.

[his thoughts are about Earth rather than Gondovan. he can't think of how far apart they are without feeling his sadness at leaving it behind]

[blinks, surprised she jumped to that conclusion, but then he realises how obvious he just made it. there's space travel, after all!] Uh...yeah, probably. But not originally. What year are you from?

2006, but I live in 2618 now. Where on Earth are you from, Freya?

How did you get to 2618?

I travelled with the Doctor for a while. Have you met him? [she might recognise the memories he's thinking of--three men and a woman again]

[Sadly, she's still not completely comprehending of the true meaning behind his words and the associated memories. Her tone is a little bitter.] I've met a lot of doctors.

[he feels that bitterness and winces] Oh, no, he's not that sort of Doctor! [he has fellow feeling for her there; he hates hospitals. but his memories of this Doctor--of these three men and one woman--are positive] He travels the universe, saving lives, vanquishing evil. He's the sort of Doctor who really helps.

Yeah! He travels through space and time.

[curiosity he can understand!] He has a ship--the TARDIS. It's really amazing! You should meet her. [which is basically the extent of his knowledge on the "how." but this does bring to mind a blue police box, a white console room, and a young woman]

[blinks because he certainly doesn't know she's reading his thoughts, and the TARDIS being a she is just second nature by now anyway] She is a ship.

Oh! She's got a sort of human form on the Plane. You'll probably run into her sometime, but I don't think she comes here much.

I just like reading.

I brought them back home to the Impossibility Gallery, so I'm afraid I don't have them on me, but they were a three-act play called Indignation by Hisui Yamamoto and an epistolary novel called Resonance by Mercedes Boulanger.
