Epic Romeo is epic~

[Romeo seems to have been quite busy for the last couple of hours, appearing and disappearing onto the plane several times, each time bringing something else with him until he has a huge display of several items. These include big screen TVs, tables with food, a bed or two, pillows, couches, a huge stereo system, even lots of rugs which feel warm and fuzzy under your feet. He seems to have a use for that last part because he's not in his usual outfit, he is also barefooted but is wearing his cape.]

[He also brought with him a microphone and sound boxes, he has to be heard after all~ And then there's the turned upside down beer crate which he now steps on to. Yay feeling tall. He coughs before he starts to speak.]

So! I've been observing all of you for the past few days and is it just me or is there really NO action here?

Well, I have come with a solution for that! We should... HAVE A PARTY.

'But Romeo~' I hear you say, 'What kind of party would we have?'

Well! I say we have a~ [Pulls his cape open to reveal his wonderful silk royal blue pajamas~]

PAJAMA PARTY

YES? YES!! EVERYONE is welcome to come and have fun! Doesn't matter whether you are 5 or 5000 years old, whether you are the most boring person in the room or a party animal, doesn't even matter if you hate everyone or want to shower the whole world with love, you are INVITED and I demand you all come and have FUN!! The twins and the lovely lady are invited as well~

[He jumps off the crate and spins around, his cape flying gracefully along with him as he points at the various set ups around him]

We have Playstation! We have Nintendo Wii! We even have an Xbox- ..of some number I do not remember! It is from the future, this guy whose name I didn't catch gave it to me~ But it is great fun! There's a pinball machine, we even have Dance Dance Revolution people~~!

Of course if you're not a gamer, I brought a make-up and nail set! For those who are into that kind of thing, of course~ We can all share our secrets about who we love, or play a game of 'truth or dare'! Possibilities are endless~~

There is also a karaoke machine! And I brought some of my old Air Treck and a a small little baby skating ramp if anyone wanted to try those out~

What else is there? THERE IS FOOD! [Gests over at the tables which are quite beautifully decorated with golden ribbons and sparkly items, not to mention a wonderful ice sculpture centerpiece!] We have sushi, we have Chinese food, we have Taiwanese food, we have Indian food, we have fish and chips which is British, we even have hamburgers and fries which can count as American food! We have pizza, we have pasta, I think we even have some lasagna somewhere! BASICALLY WE HAVE FOOD FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD~

We have sandwiches, we have trail mix, we have chips with a dozen kind of dips! We have all sorts of cookies! And ice cream! There's chocolate ice cream, vanilla ice cream, strawberry ice cream, banana ice cream, all sorts of ice cream!

WE HAVE A CHOCOLATE FONDUE FOUNTAIN.

There is coca cola, there is fanta, there is sprite, tea, chocolate milk, warm milk, cold milk, there is lemonade of all kinds, fruit juices of as many fruits as you want! And there even is beer, but no touching if you're a minor~

What more do you want?~~ But if there is more you want, bring it! There is still plenty of room left for snacks! If you live on a strange non-earth like planet, do bring your local food!

BUT, moving on~~ This a pajama party so of course there are plenty of beds, pillows and blankets, but I'm sure I don't have enough for everyone so if you can, do bring some of your own! In fact, bring anything you want!

Oh! But lets not forget my *favorite* item I wanted to bring! [He poofs away for a moment and then returns with next to him a HUGE CAROUSEL and looks incredibly proud to have it here.] Have fun, but please be careful with it since I'd like to get it back to my world in one piece.

[And then, he turns back to his 'audience']

There is also one rule to be followed! And that is that everyone has to show up in sleepwear! And I don't care if you sleep naked, I do request that everyone will at least wear a shirt and pants! There are children and women here after all, not to mention people who would rather not see some of you naked~

[Finally takes a bow]

I DECLARE THIS PARTY: OPENED! [And as by magic, music starts playing and the party is a go-go~]

Nice to meet you, Li. Funny story but you could say we do have numbers. I'd be Ten. [grins and he looks a bit surprised at the question but nods] Sure, don't mind it. Which one? The one with the beard and fangs or the one who no longer has a beard and a bit skinny?

...Really? How does that work? Ah, um...forgive me if I'm prying, I'm just curious...

[Looking a bit uncomfortable,] Both, actually. I...wanted to know how exactly their hypnosis works.

Ah, nah, it's all right! Curiosity is good. It's a thing Time Lords do to cheat death. We regenerate our entire bodies in fatal situations. I'm the tenth, I think? ...Yes, tenth. The one with the cricket gear is my fifth and the one with big ears is my ninth.

[exhales slowly] As for the Master, a lot of it comes down to eye contact. It doesn't have to but when he's being personal with it, eye contact is important. The words matter, too. They drop the suggestion for what he wants you to do.

Wow, that's...that must come in handy. The Master said he could do the same. Are you immortal, then?

[Nods slowly, face going blank.] Then it's not a matter of him actively controlling someone. The power of suggestion. Doesn't make it any easier to fight, though...[Realizes his change and he smiles just a little.] I'm sorry. I only ask because there are lots of different kinds of hypnosis, and...well, I don't want what happened to Sam to happen again.

[shakes his head] Not immortal, no. There's a limited number of times we can do it. Although the Master is a special case. Still! Only ten deaths in 900 odd years, that's not too bad.

[smiles a little] I don't, either. I'm trying to prevent that. It can be fought off but it takes a lot of willpower. [thinks, biting his lip] I dunno about active control but he can do sorts of...triggers to active a command. I don't think he's done that in a while but just to be safe...

[Chuckles.] It's certainly better than most people could claim, I suppose.

It tends to be a matter of willpower with hypnosis. And with his power level it's that much harder. [Folding his arms, thinking.] The best way to deal with that kind of hypnosis is to grab hold of something--some kind of image. Either that or to get some kind of mental shock. Am I correct?

[nods] The image one works best. Fighting it off with a repeated mantra in your head or holding onto something that would be more difficult for him to twist. Once the hypnosis is actually in place, it's much harder to break.

[Nods, mulling it over.] The goal is prevention, then. Alright. [And smiles gently.] Thank you. I know it's...kind of an unpleasant topic.

[smiles] Nah, it's all right. I'm glad I can help protect people from him, at least.

[Smiles back.] Well, I'm not sure how helpful I'll be, but I'll do what I can.

Oh, don't worry too much about it. [hastily] Being on guard around him is good, though. Just hopefully with three of me around it won't be too bad.

[Slow smile.] I think I can manage being on guard. And I just figure it would be good for us to have at least some stall tactics...in case we can't find one of you quickly.

[nods] It's smart, really. I hope neither of them have caused you much trouble, though.

Well, I've made a point of staying out of their way thus far. But if I can stop him from killing someone else, I will. [Realizes that might have sounded strange and adds,] W-well, I'll try at least.

[sniffs a bit. he sort of understands] Just do me one favour? If something does happen and none of us are around to help...try not to kill him. [and to ease any tension] Not that you would, of course, just, well...it's a general thing I ask.

[Rubs the back of his head, smiling and oh-so-innocent.] Aheh, I don't think I could kill anyone, actually! But...yeah. I'll keep that in mind. [Hesitates, and starts to ask something else, but then stops himself.]

[looks curious] If there's something else, you can say it. Always good to ask questions. Otherwise we wouldn't learn anything.

Ah, no, it's alright. It doesn't matter. [Smiles, a genuine one.] Thank you for your help, Doctor.

[Beams and passes the Doctor another sushi platter, having finished off five by himself.]

Oooh, ta! [happily takes the tray and eats] I might have to bring some of this food back to the TARDIS. The kitchen is well stocked enough but can't say there's much actual cooking going on...

[With his mouth full,] Hm? Don't you cook? You'd have to if you were always traveling, wouldn't you?

[shakes his head, laughing] No, I'm always too busy to cook my own food. I usually find someone who can or find something to eat in the meantime.

[Chuckles.] I can understand that. I usually don't have time to cook either, but I like cooking enough that I just make time.

[eats sushi thoughtfully] Last time I tried cooking, it was chucked back at me. Might try it again sometime, though. It gets boring being in the same place.
