♚ eleventh step ♚

[ In the library, there is a sleeping boy. This boy has an egg! It is an odd, yellow egg with one pink dot on each side of it and black lightning bolt patterns along the crown. How curious.

Unbeknownst to Sefton, the egg begins to stir, rocking back and forth from its cradle of his curled up legs and arms. It's making sounds! It's about to hatch!

Crack...

Crack... crackcrack—

Congratulations! Your egg has hatched into a Pichu! And boy, is the little tyke just SO HAPPY to be alive. In fact, it's so excited, it discharges some electricity on accident. Zzzap. ]

O—ow! What—... uh. Hi.

Pi pichu!

[ WELL YOU GUYS SAID IT COULD BE A POKéMON I mean, standard Sefton disclaimer, yadda yadda. ]

[Kyouya simply gives Sefton a well-cultivated smile of polite blandness.] It seems he finds it so.

[Kyouya watches the Pichu in its attempt with mild curiosity] I wonder if it will be able to open that on its own.

[identity profile] hostclubmommy.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Even Kyouya is startled by that.]

He's... very creative.

[identity profile] hostclubmommy.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Are you certain you won't be training him?

[identity profile] hostclubmommy.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Probably how you would raise a small child or loud teenager. Withdraw presents from them when they misbehave and reward them with treats when they act appropriately.

[identity profile] hostclubmommy.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
That would seem to require a certain amount of heartlessness.

[So Kyouya could do it pretty easily. He isn't sure Sefton could.]

[identity profile] hostclubmommy.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)
[Kyouya is quiet for a moment, thinking to himself.]

[The results of his contemplation:]

If we brought creatures like this to the club, designation rates would increase dramatically.

Our customers are attracted to things that are 'moe,' as Renge-kun describes it. Something like this would qualify. It could compensate for the upcoming potential losses, and if there is no loss, then it would be added revenue. We could do a photo album or doujinshi to compliment the event.

[In his way, he just called the Pichu 'cute.']

[identity profile] hostclubmommy.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I have my own egg. Regardless, I'd have to request extra eggs from the Twins. Host events must be done as a group. ['as a family']

[And in a swift gesture, he adjusts his glasses and puts away the feelings he has been trying hard not to have. He smiles in that pleasant-yet-somehow-secretly-smug way.] Besides, it's attached to you. The term is 'imprinting,' I believe.

[identity profile] hostclubmommy.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, precisely. You hatched it, so you are its parent.

[identity profile] hostclubmommy.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 05:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I think that it should be the judge of that.

[identity profile] hostclubmommy.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 05:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[Kyouya observes the fall curiously, but as there is no profit in it, he doesn't go to rescue the thing.]

I hope that's not one of those sinks with a blade in the drain.

[identity profile] hostclubmommy.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
[Kyouya isn't good with animals, but he has been having fun watching.] Perhaps it wants to be picked up?
