[The Doctor, having been off the Plane for the past week plus, has absolutely no idea what's been going on in her absence. So she'll hopefully be forgiven for not being present at certain close friends' and family's Deathmatches.

She looks like she's had an interesting few days herself. The lovely black suit she's wearing, for example, is looking undeniably damp and spent, and when she wanders onto the plane she's holding a dashing hat that's suffered the same treatment and making sad faces at it. And then she sets it on her head.]

Next time, I think I may listen to Jo and find us a nice spa to visit. It can't hurt to rest for a few days, after all. [Ow. She winces and stretches out her back, then starts rubbing the back of her neck. Ahhhh she has dungeon!neck.] It certainly wouldn't hurt me any, at least.

[Go on, people. Tell her what she's been missing.]

Doctor! [Jamie, having spotted Three from some distance away, breaks into a run so he can catch up to her. He comes skidding to a halt nearby, although he nearly slips and loses his balance in the process.] Whups!

[He recovers nicely, though, and gives the Doctor a welcoming smile. He is quite pleased to see her, after all. Catching sight of the ruined outfit, his eyebrows disappear into his bangs for a moment - then he winds up looking at it in disdain.]

Och, ye look like a right ragamuffin. What happened to ye?

[She gives him a wry smile, adjusting her hat jauntily as if it were still in fine condition. She's having deja vu, slightly.] Oh, just an extended complimentary stay in a set of dungeons. I'm considering writing a tourist's guide - what do you think?

[Well, for this Jamie the last time he called someone a ragamuffin it was Zoe, but it's not all that surprising if someone else has used the term recently. Poor, poor suit.]

Oh, aye? [dryly] Would it ever actually get finished?

[Luckily, the Doctor does have a Jamie of her own to call her a ragamuffin, if he so sees fit.]

[It could be sooner rather than later, with questions like that. A rather strange expression comes over Jamie's face for a moment as he stares, then he starts to scowl.]

I don't know if I would call having to fight to the death interesting, but I suppose ye might, at that.

[Jamie appears to be under the impression Three already knows what's going on, and is not pleased that she seems to be taking things lightly.]

[He's all set to retort hotly to almost whatever it is she has to say on the matter, but that causes him to hesitate for a moment. Maybe she -doesn't- know?]

[His response now is rather less irritated than he was a moment ago - although, to be fair, he's still not happy. It's not with her now, though. It's with the situation.]

The deathmatches. You've not heard about them?

[Ooh, he feels a little guilty now for actually assuming she knew. He'll apologize for it in a bit, but for now, he'll do his best to answer the questions.]

It's been...about a week, I think. Maybe a wee bit more. There's a man, named Weber, who showed up and announced them, and then people started getting the letters.

I've not been to all the matches, so I don't know everyone who's had to fight. But there's two matches every time they run them, so there's been a fair few people, I'd imagine.

[He is very carefully not mentioning anyone who he thinks she might know. Like, oh, Oliver.]

[It might be awkward if it were anybody other than Jamie. Possibly. As it is, he's just startled.] What? Och, no. I've not gotten one yet. I might at some point, but I can handle myself if it comes to a fight. [Assuming that it's a fair fight, of course.]

I...look, Doctor, I'm sorry I was upset with ye earlier. I thought ye knew what was going on.

[And the Doctor is wearing one of her own that says, quite clearly, 'oh, don't give me that look'.] I wore it. That is what you're meant to do with suits, isn't it?

[Admittedly, not through an extended stay in a dungeon and a small revolution, but did he expect anything else?]
