[Dying is always annoying and painful, and Benny has had to live through dying one more time. Although it's the first time she's come back pumped full of black sparkly blood - she thinks, although she isn't aware of the blood part quite yet. Give her a few hours though and she'll find out accidentally or something because she's dumb.]

[She stretches a bit, feeling herself out again, and seems an odd combination of cranky and overly cheerful]

Yes, let's not do that again. [she stretches some more, standing on tip toes and arms stretching up and over her head] And Brax, if you're around, don't think I didn't spot you up there with that cognac. I'm still expecting it, wherever you happen to be.

[and now she's just wandering around and feeling herself out still, because coming back from the dead does feel weird, even if it's happened before]

[He is not smiling or frowning or looking relieved. But he is very quiet, and all his centuries are in his eyes to see.]

Brax! [Benny is still overly cheerful, rolling her shoulders and walking over to him] There's a chiropractor on the Collection, isn't there? I really think I should make an appointment. Or perhaps a masseu - [her sentence trails off and she stops short as she sees his eyes and takes in how quiet he is. She looks at him and then hugs him tightly, her voice quiet so only he can hear] Do I want to ask what you got up to while I was away, darling?

Whoa! Hey! [you scared her Doctor! She squirms a bit until she sees who it is] Oh, hello you. I would ask if you missed me, but I think you just answered my question.

[Braxiatel doesn't stiffen or draw away. He just wraps his arms around her and rests his chin on the top of her head.]

Shsurr Summerfield, you're shorter than I remember.

[he laughs, still hugging her tightly] 'Course I missed you. [and now he sounds guilty] ...I'm sorry I couldn't stop it.

Thank you, Caster. I would joke about hoping the Collection didn't burn down or get sucked into a black hole while I was away, but it might have actually. It didn't, did it?

[Benny's blushes at that name, so back from the dead or not, that name still has the same effect. She's surprised to feel Brax so openly embrace her, but then she just relaxes against him]

Don't tell me they brought me back shorter? Oh, that's annoying.

Although, I suppose that means I'll have to buy an entire new wardrobe, as my trousers will be all wrong.

We protected it well in your absence. Though, nothing came to threaten it, so you have less to worry about.

[He closes his eyes, the better to listen to her blood and to her lungs.] Will you? That's a shame. I was planning to use that money for a trip to the Martian resort planet of your choice. Ah, well. As you like it.

Oh, you're not going to think you're guilty about that too, are you? I'm quite capable of getting myself into and out of whatever battles this place throws at me.

[laughs] That's encouraging at least. I was afraid Brax would've decided it was the perfect occasion for drowning the Collection in the sounds of Britney Spears.

[she tilts her head up to look at Brax] Martian resort planet?

[absently] Oh, you know. One of the bigger ones, where all the drinks are on me. An old friend of mine made the offer a few days ago. But if you'd rather go shopping for clothing, don't let me stop you.

Britney Spears...? Is that the name of an opera singer, perhaps? {Yes, Caster is oblivious to most of the modern world.}

[you are getting her excited, Brax!] All the drinks are on you?

[with a pause]

Within reason.

[she really laughs at that] It seems you're fortunate enough that he hasn't forced you to listen to that part of his Collection. Very lucky you. Don't worry though, he will eventually I'm sure. [oh Caster *pets her*]

If you have it all planned...

[she smiles and returns to the hug, bending her head a bit so her forehead is resting against his chest]

Your tone makes me feel as though I should not look forward to such a day. She is not talented?

[He is being very tolerant - accepting, even - of this, though he is very still.]

I said you were off acquiring something for me. The usual. I didn't know if you would want me to tell them.

[Argentine approaches her with a rose and holds it out as an apology.] If roses are not to your taste, I can find a different flower.

Benny! [is relieved and excited to see her. hurries over toward her]

[she shakes her head, letting go and smiling]

Of course not, no. Peter was all right?
