[Hei appears a ways away from where the normal crowd gathers, carrying a brand new Satake telescope. He sets it up carefully on its tripod and settles in for some quiet time with the stars. He'll talk to anyone who comes by, though.]

[Laughs with her.] They certainly do. And different cultures come up with different stories, too.

Yeah, some of it...but I've been interested in the stars and such all my life.

Is it because they disappeared?

Not really. I liked the stars even when I was a kid, before the Gates appeared. So did...so did my sister.

[Shakes his head, face blank.] It's okay.

Uhm... [must cheer up adult friend] Oh! Look! There's shooting stars here, too.

[Wrong thing to say, Fumie, but Hei won't let that on :D] Ah, so there are. [Long pause.] It's good to see...real shooting stars again.

[Poor Fumie. she just wants him to cheer up. Luckily she misses the angst] What's your favourite thing in space?

Hm...probably just the stars themselves. There's nothing like sitting out on a warm night and looking up and just getting lost in it all. [Looks up now and smiles.]

[relaxes, seeing him smile and looks up, too] I like stargazing after a summer festival ends and everyone still feels excited and happy from all the games. But it's fun to just watch the sunsets and watch the stars come out, too.

[Smile broadens.] It would be nice to spend every evening like that...

Maybe sometime we should have a summer festival here. There's a lot of people here who probably haven't had one before.

Really? Great! We'll have to figure out when to hold one. It'll take a lot of effort. Minato will help us, though. [yes, she's volunteering him]

I don't know...they usually take awhile to set up, right? Maybe a couple of weeks, then...
