[suddenly, without ceremony or the preceding sound of a blue police box tearing through and bending the very fabric of space and time, a tall, skinny figure in a pinstripe suit and long, brown coat appears on the Plane, but he is far too engaged in examining the object in his hand to notice where he is, or rather where he is now as opposed to moments ago.]
--o, no, this name is familiar, Harriet. Hold on, give me a mo'. Where have I seen it before...? [he pauses, tapping something in the theatre programme with increasing agitation until he suddenly exclaims:] Ah, I've got it! See, I knew I recognised that name! "Keri Vier"! Give little Keri another seven years and she'll start using the proper surname of her famous ancestor, Laurence--[he glances up just then, noticing that Harriet is definitely no longer with him]--oh.
[his eyes widen slightly as he glances around and removes his glasses, tucking them and the programme away into two separate pockets] Ohhh, I was just wondering if I'd get a chance to see this place again! Funny, that... Too bad that doesn't work when I really want to nip back to the TARDIS for something. [sniffs, then a broad smile spreads across his face as he gazes at all the stars around him] Blimey, would you look at this place?! Brilliant...it's absolutely brilliant! And--[he spins and spots something nearby]--oh, hello, what have we got here?
[heads over to an information kiosk, plucking one of the brochures up from the pile. after a moment of reading, he can't help feeling that there's something familiar to it, but he keeps to that himself] ..."The Astral Plane"? Oh come on, really? That's like saying--[but what it's like he doesn't get to say. his blood runs cold the second his eyes catch sight of another name he hasn't seen in a long time. a very, very long time.]

[sounds a more casual and flippant than he means to be] Well...that's new. I suppose you'll be conquering Castle Grayskull next?
[frowns, a note of pity coming into his voice] What happened to you? How were you brought back? Last I remember, you died in the war.
no subject
glares at hearing that but he resists the urge to laugh again suddenly.] Died in the war? Oh, that's funny. That's just the best.

You have to play catch up, Doctor.
no subject
But I don't know about having to catch up, though. I've read this thing--[waves the brochure]--and you might be from some other universe from mine and might not exist at there. There is always that possibility, but I don't need to tell you that. You certainly come from one where I exist in this body and do know you just from what must be, I suspect, your original assumption that I ought to know you in that body.
no subject
So, if not catch up, then what? Where exactly are you at? [Might as well try to sort things out properly]
[OOC: Sorry! Thought I replied, things are a bit crazy atm. Apologies for lateness.]
no subject
Well, I've only just regenerated actually, maybe about, ohhh, a few months ago, maybe longer.
[ooc: It's okay! No worries, hun. ^^]
no subject
[ooc: again, sorry for lateness. I have no excuse. except being made of fail]
no subject
[ooc: I see no fail!]

Call me curious to see how different your reality is from mine.

He bursts out laughing, actually laughing so hard that his concentration lapses and he phases out.]
Harriet Jones, really?
[He's...actually still laughing. Sorry, Ten.]
no subject
Yes, really. Been with me for a while now. Doing quite well for herself as both Prime Minister and time traveller.
no subject
Oh, well, I'm sure she is. [Cause that tone means he believes you completely.]

no subject
To protect Earth because you might not show up when you're needed. Can't imagine why she'd think something like that.
That didn't last long though, I forget why exactly. [Of course that is a lie because he isn't going to tell him what he did exactly in case.]
After that, no idea.

no subject
Oh, but you were the one that destroyed that faith, in my reality. You ruined her with six little words because she made a decision to send a message to the worlds beyond Earth that would come to take advantage. Ruined her career in government.
Her life.

[and he starts to walk away, turns again, pointing quite accusingly now] Just no. [and turns back, continuing to walk away.]
[and it isn't because he can't picture himself doing that--but because he can.]
no subject
You did though. You're so very good at calling your precious humans out for the atrocities they commit. Pay no nevermind to all the lives you've destroyed and you do it oh so well.
no subject
[and so he won't hear anything else, he's going to drop from the Plane now. got to love brochures that teach how that's done.]
