[Emil isn't curling into a ball or going absolutely apeshit, but he does seem annoyed. He's shuffling around, pacing, arms crossed as he mutters angrily to himself.]

There's no way I'll allow that to happen. Bastard, doing that in front of ME. If I was me all the time, it wouldn't even be an issue. He needs to stop procrastinating and get on the ball already. We don't have time to stand around and talk when we don't even know where to find Glacie's core!

[He looks at his palms for a minute, then growls and turns around.]

Can't you see? Time's running out.

[ooc: oops, Emil died. Every thread will be taking place before that happens, okay.]

We got to her in the Temple of Ice too late. Richter said-- he said he didn't want me to see it. And then he just... [Emil shudders.] He took her core and he left, just like that.

But then Marta appeared, and she had one of Lloyd's friends with her. But I... it looked so real. Everything felt so real. It was just a ruse to fool Richter, but the anger I felt, the-- the despair, it was-- it was all real to me.

If I lost her, I...

[He puts a hand on Emil's shoulder] BUt you're both still here. You're both alive and well. Is that not a blessing?

Yeah, but... [He sighs. And the irony of Mu's statement is not lost on Emil's player.]

Yeah. You're right. It is. It really is. I'm just so critical of myself and even though I've done a lot of things to try and make up for it, it never feels like it's enough...

[He runs his hand through his bangs.]

Yeah. For a little while. But we still have the rest of the Vanguard... and Alice...

It's like one big game where everyone's chasing everyone else, and we go in a big circle, y'know?

Ah, but if you're careful, word of Marta's "death" may spread enough to even cause them to ease up.

I doubt it. We already found Alice and she saw Marta alive. [He sighs.] But... you have a point.

We're chasing Lloyd. He's also after the cores, so we're trying to see where he's going and... get there before he does.

If it's only her thus far, then it's still a large burden off you.

Preempting another's actions is a difficult art.

It's the only thing we can do. At least we know where we can find all the cores now-- assuming someone outside of this hasn't already beaten us there. I think we'd be on our way to the Temple of Earth if the shopkeeper's son hadn't taken the core and sold it. Heh.
