it is a mind. A Mind of Evil.
[The Doctor has had One of Those Days. You know the type - the sort when your best enemy has you running around fighting mind parasites and preventing peace conferences from being targeted by missiles and so on. But then, on the other hand, she did prevent disasters and retrieve her dematerialization circuit from the Master even if she was beaten at checkers by all three of her companions in a row.
Still, being reminded of some of her less... pleasant... memories and portions of her psyche calls for a little time out, away from her companions (as justified their worry may be, she'd rather start them off with a smile and a destination to be off to, not a few hours waiting around for her to pull her mind together again). So she finds a cup of tea; and, it's true, she perhaps lingers a moment too long near the bar - but to go in would be lending credence to certain accusations, not to mention a betrayal of a promise she made to herself.
Instead, she finds a comfortable sofa somewhere relatively reclusive to settle down with her tea and sort her thoughts out. Given that her intent is to be somewhat alone, interrupting her would likely be in accordance with some rule or another, not to mention considerably better for her than letting her sit around and mope on her own.]

....*likewise kicks the lack of /strike tag asjkdfh* We are so very abused by HTML tonight.
cutesweet, though! She appreciates it.]Oh, no, I'm very fond of it.
[Mmmmm ice cream. She's just a little distracted, though.]
Here's hoping that HTML is behaving now that it's past midnight. XD
[He's quiet again, because, well, he's trying to figure out a good way to ask what's bothering Three. And perhaps a little bit due to the sandwich.]
So...how are...things?
no subject
And your... things?
no subject
[Sorry, he's gotten off topic.] Aye, well, they're fine, too. Nothing exciting's going on at the moment, so I came for a visit.
[There's a rather thoughtful look sent Three's way after a few moments.] Are ye sure everything's okay, Doctor? Ye seem...well, a wee bit distracted.
no subject
So she changes the subject back.] You weren't expected it to be good?
no subject
No, I figured it would be all right. It's just...[shrugging] It seems like things taste a wee bit better here, for some reason.
[He's slowly starting to figure out some things about the Plane.] Have ye noticed that?
no subject
...And there's a genuinely thoughtful silence.]
You know, I hadn't really noticed that until you mentioned it.
no subject
no subject
[She's very doubtful about that option, though. Hmm.]
no subject
Who would be suggesting that, though?
no subject
[Unless there's something VERY SUSPICIOUS going on. ...Which is a given.]
no subject
[Which could be suspicious all by itself. Or it could be Jamie just being Jamie and complaining a wee bit.]
Especially why someone would want to make sandwiches taste better. Maybe it's something to do with how the kitchen restocks itself.
no subject
no subject
[There's a speculative look given to the ice cream, and he reaches over to grab it.] I wonder if it's just the sandwiches, then. I've not really tried anything else here yet. Unless...
[He holds the dish out to Three once more.] Did ye want to test it instead, Doctor?
no subject
[She takes a few bites (for extra data, of course). And.]
...It does seem to be.
no subject
Mm. Not just the sandwiches, then. [And also does seem to shoot down the theory that it's individualized tastes, since he had specifically gotten the ice cream for her and not him.]
I wonder if any of the other versions of ye have noticed this? Or your brother.
no subject
Possibly very worth it. [...Oh, right, there were other things to consider.] You've met Brax?
no subject
young and has hollow toesstill a bit peckish.]I suppose. [At this rate, he'll have a list of people to ask different questions of that's a mile wide.] And aye, I've met him.
[Jamie glances over at Three, even as he takes another bite of ice cream.] You never mentioned a brother before.
no subject
Yes, well. The subject of family doesn't often come up.
no subject
[He won't push, really. If the Doctor doesn't want to talk about her family, that's fine. At the same time, he can't help but add his own observation in.]
Seems fond of ye, I've noticed. [This isn't a bad thing.] And he's not bad, for a Time Lord.
[Jamie's opinion of most Time Lords has gotten a wee bit worse the past few years. There's a few exceptions, though.]
no subject
[She has a Grudge. :|]
no subject
[bluntly] Will ye talk to him about whatever it is that's bothering ye, then?
no subject
What?
no subject
Well, something is bothering ye, and I figured if ye didn't want to talk about it to me, maybe you'd talk to your brother.
[He doesn't like it when the Doctor's worried about something, and for whatever reason, it bothers -him- more when it's her. He's not entirely sure why, but he still wants to help, somehow.]
no subject
I'm fine, Jamie.
[She's lying so obviously fffff.]
