[A man is sitting in a regular wooden chair near the black hole. Remember the black hole? Yes indeed. Everything about him is casual. He's smoking a cigarette, arms folded loosely over his chest. His clothing is fairly 1990's, with jeans and boots and a long trench coat. Hair blond, eyes a gray-blue, fairly attractive but nothing to set him off as any different than anyone else on the Plane. When he taps out his ashes, he does so right into the black hole.

Finally, after a nice, long drag, he speaks. If you're good with accents, you'll note his is all over the place, something vaguely Scandinavian and Spanish at the same time.]

All right, so. Looks like you guys are pretty cozy, huh? You seem it. And hey, who am I to judge, right? [A pause to exhale some smoke.] But I figured if I was in the area, might as well drop by and tell you something important. Because you're gonna need to get out of here someday. I mean, really need to. [He shrugs.] Just saying.




((Note: what's this? why, it's a thing! This guy here is completely immortal and has the same signature as the Machine, if your character can notice that. Any other questions and ask away!))

[He grins a bit at her.] You can leave this place, yeah. But you're there's layers to it.

[He gives him a curious grin.] I'm here as a servant, your highness.

[He shakes his head.] Not unless you guys take things into your own hands, you know?

That really is a rather fairly foreboding warning to follow up with something as casual just saying. And while I applaud you and thank you enormously for your open-mindedness and nonjudgmental attitude, I think the burning question I'm meant to be asking, beyond who the hell are you, is why do we [air quotes] "really need" to get out of here?

[He waves his hand vaguely.] I'm Shay. What can I say? It's hard to get worked up about all this when it's old news to you. And because, eventually, this thing is going to end and you don't want to be involved when it does.

[Shay blinks, then laughs.] Yeah, like where I live.

Singularity, mystery, and ashtray. Its uses seem endless. Good afternoon. What an interesting accent you have. Norwegian roots, Finnish soil, Swedish gardeners, and a replanting in Spain, if I'm not mistaken. But you've become even more cosmopolitan since then.

[He offers his hand] Irving Braxiatel, how do you do?

[There's something about you he doesn't like but he just smiles and shakes Brax's hand.] Shay Elonen. You've got me good. But yeah, I haven't lived in those places in years.

[Gwen crosses her arms, examining this strange knew arrival.] What you've got to say that's so bloody important, then?

[He grins.] Matter of fact, I've been through this place and back a few times.

[Omega does not seem very impressed with this guy's words, and it shows. Still, information is never a bad thing, and he crosses his arms, eyes on the other man.]

[He nods at him.] You can call me Shay. I have a lot more in common with you guys then you probably think.

[while he talks, she's trying to place his accent. in her illustrious career of temping, she's heard all sorts accents, but is having trouble figuring out this man's--that is, until he says those last lines and she feels stomach bottom out a little]

Yeah, you could think of it as a video game. It'd be a hellva good one. I guess I'd be one of the quest giving NPCs. See, I'm telling you guys that you need to make this black hole bigger to get the real story here.
