[Remember that metal orb the Master created? You know, the one that set up a four-dimensional projection of a craigslist ad in flashing, 3D neon lights?

Well, there's a new one on the Plane. What does the sign say, you ask?

"Bored 900-year-old Time Lord seeks new best enemy for Epic Battles across time and space.

Minimum Requirements:

- genius
- able to keep me on my toes
- witty sense of humour
- an ego that's bigger than mine
- at least 900 years of experience

Submit resumes below. Applicants will be contacted via Plane post box for an interview."

Below the sign is a table, with a box for the resumes. The Doctor's feet are also propped up on the table and he's leaning back in a chair, looking rather pleased with his work.]

...Why do you want one?

If only you could check in my world. I know too many people that fit those requirements that I would be glad to hand over.

Why wouldn't I want one?

[laughs] Maybe I'll get lucky, and some of them will show up!

Well, having enemies isn't fun, I didn't think....It's not something I would be looking for.

{Laughs} I hope not. Then I would actually have to deal with them here and at home.

'Course it's fun! I miss having a real best enemy around. [the Master does not count :|]

Fair point. Still, you'd have me helping you out around here!

But isn't that the Master?

Well, I guess there is that. Booster and I had enough trouble trying to keep track of Crane and the other Arkhamn inmates, so secretly? I'm hoping they're not coming back. It's easier to relax when you're not worried about people terrorizing innocent people for no reason.

[pfft] The Master's all talk and no action these days. Well, he's tried blowing me up once or twice, but that's it.

That reminds me, I've still got to have a chat with that Crane bloke. Take it you haven't seen him around, though.

Maybe he's saving his energy for something better?

Nope. I was thinking about flying over to Gotham to talk to Arkham, but I remembered the thing about the worlds having to be merged. At least with them, disappearing for a while isn't actually that unusual. I think Arkham is back, though, so either I got a merger or he's gone from here.

Or he's saving it for my other self. [jealous of himself? never]

{Laughs} Doctor, are you jealous?

If you've got a merger, you could -- hang on, did you say flying?

[yes] No. 'Course not, why would I be jealous?

Yeah? {So to demonstrate, she hovers off the ground a couple of inches}

The flying thing must be really weird in every world but ours. It seems like every other hero can fly.

I don't know! That's why I'm asking, silly.

[stares -- that's even more impressive than the x-ray vision] That's fantastic! How does it work?

[A now normal Shion is lurking self consciously near by. Apologizing is not something he is particularly good at.]

[glances at him curiously -- he has only known teenager!Shion] Oi, you look a bit familiar! Have we met?

[Is a bit embarrassed about the whole experiment thing] We have, although I was slightly younger when we did.
